  1. In the UK we have an “E” grade, also a “U” (unclassified, meaning total fail). My friend’s son’s mate looked at his A-level results and took consolation from the fact that reading from top to bottom is spelled DUDE.

  2. The space bar makes a louder noise because it’s a bigger key. Duh.
If you are good at cursive, like people used to be, it was a faster way to write (AKA running writing), because you didn’t have to leave the page as much; not stopping and starting.
Think about the sound it makes, and there’s your answer. It’s a funny letter though, in Latin it says “v”, like German. Too much of a long history in etymology for me to answer here.
People say Heads Up to make you look up. It means pay attention.
We say LMNOP because that’s what the alphabet song teaches us. Duh.
People don’t always moan while stretching.
Cartoon characters wear the same clothes in every episode for several reasons. Mainly because it’s cheaper, and iconic characters are easier to remember. For editing purposes, there are fewer continuity issues with recycling the same video too.
We press harder on the remote because it’s just how our brains work. Button not working? Button works when you push it… PUSH HARDER AND IT WILL WORK MORE. We are innately idiots when it comes to that stuff (myself included).
That Ke$ha/Taylor Swift question is stupid.
There is novelty in miniature things. Some people get a kick out of eating tiny versions of things that they recognise.
It’s so hard to draw a star because without practice, we are bad at straight lines/mapping/drawing.
