10 Shocking Cases Of Election Vandalism

The man who took a pick axe to Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

In the last weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign, a man named James Otis destroyed Donald Trump’s star on Hollywood Blvd.

Otis wanted to retrieve the entire star but wasn’t able to. Nevertheless, he had his reasons for trying. “I did it because of the amount of sexual assaults that not only my own family has experienced, but that the many women Donald Trump has done this to. The point of this exercise was to take the star and auction it off on election day, and take that money and distribute it to the women who have been sexually assaulted by Donald Trump along with the George Washington Republicans who are against sexual assault.”

Otis is fully prepared to face the consequences in court, and he can afford the best attorneys — he is reportedly an heir to the Otis family elevator fortune!

The man who torched a Trump/Pence sign while in his underwear

A Wisconsin resident was so determined to torch a Donald Trump yard sign, that he didn’t even bother to put on pants!

The couple who placed the sign outside their home checked their surveillance video and saw it was one of their tenants who set the sign on fire. They now plan to put up an even bigger Trump one. Watch below as a passing couple stops and fist bumps the angry arsonist as he does his thing.

The hacker who took over the Clintons’ Wikipedia pages

In October 2016, a right-wing troll and Donald Trump supporter hacked Bill and Hillary Clinton’s Wikipedia pages. The culprit, who was only identified by his Twitter handle @meepsheepy, tampered with Hillary’s page by posting pornographic images of a naked woman and a cryptic message about the Democratic nominee. Both pages were back to normal in minutes, but Wiki said both have been protected permanently so that only “template editors” or admins (advanced long-term users) can edit them. (Source)

The toilet that was placed in front of a Trump sign

Rome, Wisconsin police are looking for the person who left a toilet in front of a Donald Trump sign.

When officers arrived, they found a Trump sign slashed with a knife. A toilet was placed in front of it with a message that said, “Dear deplorable human. I wish I could see the look on your stupid face on Nov. 9 when you find out that Trump is as big of a loser as you.” Written in black marker on the toilet was “compliments of Charlie Sykes,” a reference to a Milwaukee talk show host.

Suspects have not been found, but if they are, they face charges of littering and criminal damage to property. (Source)

The man who hit a Trump sign with his car and was charged for reckless driving

Julien Schuessler posted a video to YouTube with the caption, “I love having a Jeep sometimes.” He then showed himself driving off the road and over a Trump campaign sign.

The footage went viral, and in doing so caught the attention of the Wilmington, North Carolina Police Department. Schuessler has since been charged with hit and run, reckless driving and failing to maintain lane control. He was later released on citation and called the stunt “an impulsive act of kindness.”

The man who had 13 Trump signs stolen from his yard

A Pennsylvania man has had 13 Trump signs stolen from his Lower Makefield Township property — one even ended up in a tree 20 feet off the ground!

The signs, valued at about $500, were stolen in more than one take. Cruzan set up a camera to get pictures of the thieves, one of which was wearing a “spacesuit” with goggles and a GoPro camera. He said, ““When you see somebody who looks like he’s from Mars taking your sign, it really puts a different complexion on it.” (Source | Photo)

The couple whose dog was killed over their support of Hillary Clinton

Matt and Beth Steadman of Richmond, Texas were surprised to find their pro-Hillary signs replaced with a “Hillary for Prison 2016” note. In fact, three separate signs were stolen from the couple’s yard almost as fast as they put them out.

After the signs had been stolen, the family’s SUV was vandalized to the point an auto shop said it was unrepairable. But that wasn’t the worst of it — the couples’ 2-year-old Shepard mix got sick and died after ingesting a neurotoxin. A veterinarian told the couple their dog was poisoned.

The Steadmans have another donated sign, but said they’re going to keep it inside and an investigation has yet to take place. (Source)

The vandals who painted hate speech on the wall of a predominantly Latino high school

Students and employees of Cali Calmecac Language Academy in Windsor, California spent a day avoiding and cleaning up graffiti apparently inspired by Donald Trump.

A door, a trash can and multiple walls were found vandalized with messages reading “Trump 2016” and “Build The Wall Higher.”

Cali Calmecac is a Spanish immersion school where three-quarters of the student population are Latino. Most of the markings were painted over or otherwise removed by the end of the day, but graffiti is being investigated as a hate crime. (Source)

The vandals who spray-painted a swastika on a man’s garage over his support of Trump

Gainesville resident and Trump supporter Ronnie Sartain was surprised to see police cars outside his home when he woke up one morning in late October 2016. Once outside, he immediately knew why — a purple swastika about 5 feet tall was painted on his garage door, another on the walkway from the street to his front door, and another on a Trump yard sign.

Sartain said he had not encountered any other indications of hostility toward his politics and doesn’t plan to paint over or remove the emblems of hate before Election Day on Nov. 8. Police are currently investigating. (Source)

The campaign office that was firebombed in North Carolina

The North Carolina Republican Party office in Orange County was firebombed and tagged with a threatening message saying “Nazi Republicans leave town or else.” Donald Trump blamed the “animals representing Hillary Clinton and Dems in North Carolina.” After the attack, Democrats raised more than $13,000 to reopen the Republican headquarters and Clinton denounced the act as “horrible.”

Orange County Democratic Party Chair Matt Hughes said that vandals had also targeted his offices in Carrboro, North Carolina, on the same day, tagging them with the words “Death to Capitalism.” The two incidents are believed to be unrelated. (Source)

Wow. This is perfectly acceptable public behaviour. It really shows your support of the candidate you’ll vote for and paints a lovely picture of electoral campaigns in America.
I can’t help but be influenced by this now, and I imagine the OOSAH is a wonderful country of sunshine and rainbows and I never want to go there ever.
