When I was a kid and first saw Funfetti wedged on the shelf between chocolate and vanilla, I asked my mom the obvious question: what kind of flavor is Funfetti? “It tastes like happiness,” she answered.

While that’s now also how I describe 99-cent pizza at 3am on a Saturday, my mom’s Care Bear-like explanation held up even as I got older. And since I’ve tested it out on every dish from waffles to milkshakes, I’m pretty trustworthy: everything tastes happier with Funfetti in the mix. The only thing I have left to try is 99-cent Funfetti pizza.
