When Tim Jordan moved to Idaho, he missed his dirt bike during the winter months and seven years ago, began a quest to build a conversion for a motorcycle that enabled it to be ridden in the snow. The conversion is now fully developed and will turn a dirt bike into a snoxcycle for US$2895 inside 90 minutes and back again in an hour.



The Fiat Cinque Tank, a dream bulldozer custom-built by ironsmith Kogoro Kurata, consists of an old Fiat 500 body mounted on the caterpillar tracks of a cheap secondhand tractor. The farm machine can only reach a speed of 3 kilometers per hour, turning a trip to the nearest convenience store into a 2-hour adventure, according to Kurata. But the classic look of the cabin no doubt impresses the neighbors, and the working power shovel comes in handy when obstacles block the way.






The Subaru WRX STI TRAX was one of the stars of the 2009 SEMA auto show in Las Vegas. The vehicle is essentially a Subaru WRX STI which has been heavily modified for rallying, and then fitted with four individual tracks which allow it to tear through snow and over ice without skipping a beat.



The crawler-transporters are a pair of tracked vehicles used to transport spacecraft from NASA’s Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) along the Crawler way to Launch Complex 39. They were originally used to transport the Saturn IB and Saturn V rockets during the  Apollo, Skylab and Apollo–Soyuz programs. They were then used to transport Space Shuttles from 1981 to 2011. The crawler-transporters carry vehicles on the Mobile Launcher Platform, and after each launch return to the pad to take the platform back to the VAB.

The Mattracks Powerboard is basically a powered snowboard. Meaning you can carve your way up the slopes as well as down. The 200 cc engine allows for a top speed of 18 mph, and steering is accomplished just by shifting your weigh.

The bodywork of this vehicle is asymmetrical which means that the design of this snowmobile looks different from different angles. This two-seater snowmobile is powered by an electric motor.
