There are a lot of really kewl weapons in the movies.   Some are exotic, some are just plain bad ass and they can do things to the target that are downright devastating.

The Sick Stick

The sick stick is an impressive piece of weaponry. It is not lethal, but instills fear in any potential victim. Typically seen in the hands of Precrime officers, it is used in conjunction with the “halo” to subdue those suspected of a future crime. It is only used once in Minority Report, but maybe that’s for the best. Much like a taser, the baton-shaped stick instantly causes its victims to projectile vomit. Thanks to John Anderton’s (Tom Cruise) quick reflexes, we got to see it in action during an intense chase scene.

 ZF-1

This was used in the movie the Fifth Element directed by Luc Besson. If you cannot pick out a weapon then this weapon is the one that you should use.   An assault rifle that can break down into four pieces, undetectable by x-rays, with a 3000 round magazine, a “replay” button that sends all shots to a given location, a rocket launcher, an arrow launcher (with poison or explosive-tipped arrows), a net launcher, a flamethrower, a freeze feature, and self-destruct.

 Zat’nik’tel or Zats

If you are a Stargate Universe fan, then you should know what this one is right away.

“The safety is active when the Zat is not in use and lays flat like a snake, but when it is turned on it stands up, alert like a snake. The weapon is unique in how it affects objects, animate and inanimate. Zats have been in production for at least five thousand years.”

The Zat can be described as a weapon that might be sometimes merciful because of the function that is non-lethal or either it can be used for intimidation.  At a distance, it is difficult to tell that the Zat’nik’tel isn’t a sidearm, and its stunning capability makes it easier to apprehend a target without injuring them.

Bone Gun

David Cronenberg designed this weapon and this weapon is bizarre and cool looking. It can be spotted in the movie eXistenZ. It’s made out of bone plus flesh and whenever the gun is fired it doesn’t use bullets instead it uses human teeth. It’s a great assassination tool because it can go thru the metal detectors without causing any problems. What would you think about a gun that just suddenly started firing teeth out at you?

UV arc

The UV arc was a weapon used in the movie Blade.

“A UV laser arc which can literally cut people in half. She just goes, ‘shoo-shoo’ and they’re gone,”

It’s shaped like a bow and the string is a UV sabre that’s powerful and can equal the hotness that comes from the sun and possibly stronger. It can easily cut thru any kind of metal like butter.

Iron Man

Iron Man (Tony Stark) made the suit that gives him superhuman strength and durability, flight, and a full array of weapons.  The standard offensive weapons have always been the repulsor rays that are fired from the palms of his gauntlets. Other weapons built into various incarnations of the armor include: the uni-beam projector in its chest; pulse bolts (that pick up kinetic energy along the way; so the farther they travel, the harder they hit); an electromagnetic pulse generator; and a defensive energy shield that can be extended up to 360 degrees. Other capabilities include: generating ultra-freon (i.e., a freeze-beam); creating and manipulating magnetic fields; emitting sonic blasts; and projecting 3-dimensional holograms (to create decoys).

Chuck Norris

Let’s face it. No body part is more revered in the action genre than Chuck Norris’ fist. Not even Bruce Lee’s legs have as much pull as the clenched hands of Norris.  But his abilities are only superseded by his reputation. It is truly impressive how many henchmen and bumbling assassins have been knocked unconscious at the mercy of his fists. The rest of his body does come into play during fight scenes, but Chuck Norris’ fists have taken the most fame.   That is the stuff of legend.
