10 More Creepy Short Films To Watch When The Lights Go Out

“SELF- ASSEMBLY” – by Ray Sullivan

We will get this kicked off with a short that definitely lands more towards the WTF side of scary…not your typical horror film, by any stretch, but still one that will stick with you…

I will never fully understand why the hell dolls are so creepy but man just that pic creeps me out. ‘Porcelain’ is a good take on the classic ‘doll comes to life and creates terror’ plot.

This black-and-white, documentary-style film looks at the lives of two serial killers who run amok, murdering with a reckless freedom and disturbing sense of duty not often seen in the genre.

Playing With the Devil

While home alone, three sisters conduct a Japanese ritual of Hitori Kakurenbo or “One Man Tag” with their beloved doll. Terror ensues as the girls realize that one should never play a game with the Devil.

Intense take on the ‘forward this to 10 people or you will die’ myth that has circulated in one way or another for years. Supposedly done on a £10 budget in one night, impressive regardless in my opinion.

Lot 254

In this award winning short horror film by Toby Meakins, a Collector repairs a vintage cine camera, thus unlocking the hidden terror of “Lot 254.”

The Passing

A mysterious woman, a missing child and an ominous past converge on two detectives in this frightening tale.

White with Red

So I’l admit, I’m not the biggest fans of creepypastas, more than likely because I have heard them all so many times. However, this particular story did stick with me and this short does a good job with it…

The Whistler

Just a lovely little flick about a bird

The Little Witch

Alasdair McBroom’s ghost story short about the eternal fear of what lurks under the bed
