An elephant escaped its depressing imprisonment in a circus in Noordwijk, Netherlands. And, naturally, it decided to visit a flea market for a relaxing day of leisurely antiquing.

According to YouTube user Wouter Louwerens,

“Once or twice a year my girlfriend and me like to visit a local [flea market] in summer. Accidentally this time there was also a circus nearby. So early in the afternoon Buba, the last elephant in a Dutch circus, decided to go for a walk. It was beautiful to see how she as well as the public stayed quite calm.”

Not long after the video was taken, the elephant’s handler arrived and casually walked him back to his cage. Buba is the last elephant in captivity in the Netherlands, and a new law will soon ban the practice.
