English Fans Invade A London IKEA After World Cup Win Against Sweden

England’s run to the World Cup semifinal has been an exciting time for Three Lions supporters. There’s been plenty of wasted beer and rocking watch parties. Those are great, but a small group of England fans took the celebration a bit too far on Saturday.

After the quarterfinal win against Sweden, some England fans stormed a London IKEA store and trashed the furniture while singing their World Cup anthem, “It’s coming home.”

Winning is fun, but that seemed awfully rude to the IKEA staff who had to clean up the mess.

Despite the scene, the official Twitter account for IKEA UK congratulated England on the win.

The store even promoted a £1 fish & chips special.

Nicely done, IKEA. That was a gracious response to an embarrassing incident.

England will face Croatia in Wednesday’s semifinal, and hopefully the fans will leave every Croatia-based London business intact after the match.
