Some say that this trauma could have been a catalyst for his desire to write scary stories.
His two other favorites are “Lisey’s Story” and “11/22/63.”
He wrote this comic to fight against the famine in Africa, with all proceeds going towards the cause.

King later purchased the van that hit him and took a sledge hammer to it.
After real-life school shootings were linked to the book, he requested the book be taken off the shelves.
