Former Beauty Queen – Lost Crown In Topless Photo Scandal – Busted For Meth

Katie Rees has been on a dark downward spiral ever since winning the Miss Nevada crown back in 2007.

First, there was the fact that her title was revoked by moral arbiter Donald Trump after scandalous photos of her from a night at a Florida nightclub emerged, thus taking ending her chance at the Miss USA crown.

Now the 30-year-old is facing four felony charges related drug offenses related to an arrest in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Review-Journal lists the charges as “trafficking in a controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance, and two counts of conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substances act” related to selling meth.

In court papers filed on Monday, Rees was busted in relation to selling meth to someone back in September in addition to being found with over 5 grams of the substance about a month later. A $50,000 arrest warrant for the former Miss Nevada was issued on Wednesday.

This isn’t the first time Rees has been in trouble with the law. In 2008, she was nabbed for a resisting arrest charge and a drug possession charge in 2012.

The paper points out that Rees’s Facebook page states that she was employed by a few modeling agencies in Las Vegas since 2006.

Rees also appeared on the documentary show Border Security: Australia’s Front Line in 2009 where she was stopped by customs in a Sydney airport over traces of controlled substances detected on her purse despite her claim that she doesn’t do drugs. Despite the questioning, airport security found no drugs on her and she was not arrested.

Hopefully this latest bout of legal troubles will inspire Rees to clean up her act, for her sake. The alternative never seems to end well.
