Prosecutors say a New Jersey man used his neighbor’s Wi-Fi to download thousands of child porn images and hundreds of videos, the AP reports. Camden County authorities executed a search warrant at a Clementon home on Sept. 1. But they determined the homeowners weren’t involved after speaking with them, then learned the Wi-Fi wasn’t password protected.

They say they later determined that 55-year-old Louis LaSalle was using it to download child porn to a laptop computer. Investigators say they found more than 33,000 images and more than 700 videos on the laptop. They also confiscated a wireless router they say he used to connect to his neighbor’s Wi-Fi. LaSalle was charged with possessing and distributing child porn. His bail was set at $150,000.

I am just glad the poor bastards who’s wifi was used didn’t get hammered for it. I have seen instanced of this before and some times the owner of the wifi gets hit and has to go through hell to fight it only in the end to have it revealed someone else on the wifi was the one downloading it.
