Here’s One Of Tesla’s Self-Driving Cars Driving Around To ‘The Benny Hill Show’ Theme

Self-driving cars are the way of the future, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has decided he’s going to drag us to that future (while also sending people to die on Mars) whether we want it or not. The plan is that by 2018 every new Tesla vehicle will come with self-driving technology. New technology is scary though, and cars are deadly, so how can we trust these machines which every sci-fi movie has told us will eventually gain sentience and try to destroy us all? With videos of the technology working perfectly set to the theme from “The Benny Hill Show,” of course.

It’s a weird musical choice. You keep expecting the car to crash into a chicken truck or something else absurd and messy. Musk understands this, and released a longer version of the video with the Rolling Stone’s “Paint it Black.”

This appears to be a favorite of Musk’s, because Tesla released a video back in October demonstrating the self-driving technology with the same song.

The problem with this is I keep expecting Robert de Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, or Joe Pesci to show up.
