This Idiot At A Braves Game Thought The ‘K’ Strikeout Count Was Offensive
Yup, Atlanta’s starting pitcher had recorded three strikeouts at that time.
The great Jim Jefferies once said, “We have to play to the one percent that are such fuckwits they ruin it for the rest of us. We have to walk as slow as our slowest person to keep society fucking moving.”
Well, let’s check in on one of those fuckwits who used to go by the name Sania Kay on Twitter. You see, kids, Sania Kay isn’t on Twitter anymore because she got absolutely wrecked by those tweeters with a properly-functioning brain after she deemed the “K” count that represents a home team’s strikeout tally in a game of baseball “offensive” just because the pitcher for the Braves had three strikeouts at the time.
Now, the fact that the letter “K” has been used to represent a strikeout since Abraham Lincoln still had a pulse and even my four-year-old nephew knows that to be the case isn’t the most embarrassing part of the story for Sania Kay. The most embarrassing part? You guessed it: Despite being told by people who actually know a thing or two about baseball why the “K” collection was neither racist nor offensive, their explanations were met with closed eyes and ears.
Absolute soul-crushing tweet right there from radio host and sports guru Benjamin Allbright. I’d like to think that it was the one that brought Sania Kay’s Twitter career to an end, but something tells me she has no idea what the hell it means…
