Man’s Dark Texts To Hitman To Kill His Wife Delivered To Wrong Person

Man’s Dark Texts To Hitman To Kill His Wife Delivered To Wrong Person

Jeff Lytle thought he had planned the murder of his wife down to a tee. The perfect murder, you might say, but Jeff had made one gargantuan mistake.

When he made the text to the alleged hitman sanctioning the killing of his wife and his daughter, he sent it to the wrong guy. He sent it to his boss, landing Jeff in court, according to KIRO7.

Although the messages sent are harrowingly casual they are very dark.

In one message, Jeff wrote:

Hey Shayne how’s it going. You remember you said that you would help me kill my wife. I’m going to take you up on that offer.

Jeff, from Washington, went onto explain that the reason he wanted his wife killing was for her $1 million dollar life insurance that he was willing to split ’50/50′ with the killer.

He added in a text:

Life insurance is worth 1 million [and there’s a bonus if] you can kill my four-year-old daughter.

If you can make it look like a robbery gone wrong or make it a accident she works at Walmart she gets off at 11:00. I’ll split everything with the insurance 50/50.

The 42-year-old was arrested last Wednesday and charged with criminal solicitation for first-degree murder and domestic violence.

Although Jeff has admitted to police that he wrote the texts, he claims he merely wrote them to vent his frustration, adding that ‘Shayne’ is not a real person.

It was also revealed he has been married to his wife for over seven years and that recently they have been undergoing serious money trouble since Jeff lost his job.

His bail has been set at $1 million dollars.

That’s a lot of money for a simple hit. Parking lot at Walmart? I would have thought twenty grand would have comfortably covered it. Even with the kid.
