MELBOURNE AFTERMATH Car Runs Down Pedestrians 4 Dead 20+ Injured [GRAPHIC]
At least four children have been injured as a man drove his car into 25 pedestrians in Melbourne city centre.
The rampaging driver reportedly dragged a pram 100 metres, killing the infant while her mother screamed, ‘where is my baby?’.
The images are awful to look at but just hours before the rampage the suspect interrupted a news report in his car.
Yet to be identified, he pulled up behind a 9 News presenter on live TV, winding down his window, removing his cap and waving.
The incident occurred at around 1.30pm local time when the vehicle mounted the pavement of Bourke Street and it is reported at least three people have been killed and 20 have been injured.
“We’re not regarding this as a terrorism-related incident,” said Victoria state police commissioner Graham Ashton.
A man has been arrested and is now in custody.
Footage of the horror shows the man driving around in circles in the middle of a busy junction, before driving towards innocent pedestrians. Some ran into nearby buildings while others were not so lucky.
