Mom Who Was Too Fat To Go On A Ride At Disneyland Loses Half Her Weight, Is Now A Total Babe

Nine years ago at the age of 25, Christina Jordan was at Disneyland with her family when she was told she was too fat to go on a ride. That’s when she decided to make a change. A very big change.

“My family and I waited two hours in line for one ride, and we’re hot and cranky. And when we finally go to sit, the seat belt doesn’t fit over me,” Jordan, a 34-year-old mom of three, tells PEOPLE. “The poor kid that’s manning the ride says, ‘I’m sorry ma’am, it doesn’t fit, you’re too large to ride this ride.’ ”

“I bolted off that ride. And I go to leave, and I couldn’t fit through the people counter. My hips were too wide, so they had to open the gate, and I felt like cattle being brought out to slaughter. It was the most embarrassing moment of my life. But it also opened my eyes to the fact that I had to change.”

“I didn’t want to live the rest of my life on the sidelines.”

In nine months, she had lost half her size and nine years later Jordan is still down 134 pounds. Not only that she is also now a nutritionist with her own web site and has become an inspiration to many.

So how did she do it? Jordan, now 34, says that when she decided to lose the weight she began eating five to six times a day, incorporating a lean protein, a complex carbohydrate and a healthy fat into every meal, and “decided to stop stressing about being skinny, and just focus on being healthy.”

Sounds like a solid plan and from the results it certainly appears to be working out quite well.

?You never know what you're capable of until you try– like my handstand today?. There was a time in my life I was incredibly afraid to try anything new. Then one day I decided I wanted to to be brave, not just for myself, but for my family. When I first started my journey of losing 113 pounds I started and was so afraid– afraid of what if I failed, what if I try and don't follow through, what if I do succeed will others judge me for my journey? Fear is truly the number one reason so many never step out. I e now lost 131 pounds, completely overcame the Type 2 Diabetes I had been diagnosed with and have gone on to become a nutritionist and soon to be Naturalpathic Doctor. What was my greatest trial has become one of my greatest triumphs. I encourage you that you can do this, get healthy and reach your goals. Do like I did and just start in spite of the fear. I believe in you– now YOU believe in yourself. Hugs, ~Christina?? RIP to the old me! ? 10 years ago, at 271 pounds., I never dreamed I'd be able to lift weights– and love it! Give it ALL you got every day! My workout today kicked my bootie! It takes hard work– in the kitchen with healthy eating, in the gym and in everyday life to see results. Train like a champion and eventually you'll become one. If I (a mom of three little kids) can lose 130+ pounds, overcome diabetes and still be a busy business owner can do it, I truly believe anyone can. NO EXCUSES! YOU ARE WORTH IT!
