MVP KNOCKS OUT CYBORG WITH A KNEE SO DEVASTATING IT CAVES CYBORG’S SKULL IN, NEEDING IMMEDIATE SURGERY
Bellator’s Michael “Venom” Page is one of mixed martial arts’ rising stars, but he apparently finds some time to play a little Pokémon Go. At Bellator 158, in his hometown of London, England, Page scored a second-round, highlight-reel KO via flying knee on his opponent Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos. So far, Pokemon Go has been used to target robbery victims, led unsuspecting players to dead bodies and even invaded “The Walking Dead.” Is there any stopping this latest cultural phenomenon?
This is actually f**ken horrible. The Pokémon move doesn’t seem quite as funny when you realise how brutal Cyborg’s injury is. To be fair to Page didn’t know the severity of the injury during his celebration. It’s easy to say in retrospect he shouldn’t have done it but he didn’t know he’d cracked the guys skull into his brain. We genuinely hope Evangelista is okay, recovers quickly and it isn’t a career ender. Gnarly stuff.
