Pamela Anderson’s “Strange” Video Tribute To Hugh Hefner Has Divided Her Fans

Pamela Anderson has posted a tribute to Hugh Hefner on her Instagram in response to the news of his death, in the form of a short video.

The 50-year-old Baywatch star’s close relationship with Hugh Hefner captured audiences all over the world back in the late 90’s and early noughties. She was known as one of Hefner’s most loved muses, and was very open about her affection for him.

As the news of 91-year-old Hefner’s death surfaced this morning, Pamela took to the gram to pay tribute to the man whom she called a charming, elegant andchivalrous gentleman. But the odd contents of her post sparked a wave of concern from her fans.

Pamela posted a short video in which she is seen lying in bed, crying.

In the video, she lifts her phone to a high angle, allowing viewers to see that she’s only wearing her underwear. She twists her legs and then, finally brings the phone back to her face, at which point she simply breathes ‘Goodbye Hef‘.

Some fans were moved:

Don’t cry baby, i don’t like to see you sad. Goodbye Hef.” One user commented.

Another fan said: “ur post gave me goosebumps I don’t know much about Mr. Hefner but any friend of yours is friend of mine. Your raw beautiful emotion is so refreshing. He was fortunate to have such an amazing friend like u in life and beyond.”

But other followers were concerned. They pointed out the strange angles of the video, and Pamela’s choice of attire:

“Is it necessary to shoot your body on the camera when crying?” One user said.

Another simply commented: “So strange that she posted this.”

A lengthy caption accompanied the video, in which Pamela passionately lamented over her time with Hefner.

“Goodbye #Hef. Mr Hefner. I have so many thoughts, I have no brain n right now to edit. I am me because of you. You taught me everything important about freedom and respect. Outside of my family, you were the most important person in my life. You gave me my life… People tell me all the time that I was your favorite…

“I’m in such deep shock. But you were old, your back hurt you so much. Last time I saw you, you were using a walker. You didn’t want me to see. You couldn’t hear. You had a piece of paper in your pocket you showed me – with my name Pamela with a heart around it.

“Now, I’m falling apart. This feeling is so crazy. It’s raining in Paris now. I’m by the window. Everything anyone loves about me is because you understood me.
Accepted me and encouraged me to be myself. Love like no one else. Live recklessly, with unfiltered abandon. You said the magazine was about a girl like me. That I embody the spirit you fantasized about. I was the one. You said.

“I can hear you say – Be brave. There are no rules. Live your life. I’m proud of you. There are no mistakes. And with men – Enjoy … (Your wonderful laugh) You have the world by the tail. You are a good girl and you are so loved – You are not crazy. You are wild and free. Stay strong, stay vulnerable. … “It’s movie time”

“You loved my boys … You were always, always there for us. With your love Your crazy wisdom. I will miss your everything. Thank you for making the world a better place. A freeer and sexier place. You were a gentleman, charming, elegant, chivalrous and so much fun.”
