Paranormal Proof? The 10 Most Eerily Convincing Ghost Videos Ever Filmed


The internet is full of so-called real ghost videos, and even if you don’t believe in spirits or the supernatural, you have to admit, there’s something deeply unnerving about the ever-so-slight possibility that what you’re seeing could be real. While, some of these videos are a little more convincing than others, even if they are fake, it doesn’t mean they’re not really creepy and fun to watch anyway.

Without further ado, here are the 10 most compelling paranormal videos from all over the internet that claim to be proof of ghosts, angels and demons. Are they real or fake? Let us know what you think.

1. Barton Mansion Encounter

Where: Redlands, California.

Background story: Barton Mansion is one of the oldest houses in Redlands, California; it also happens to be the most haunted. According to local legend, Barton Mansion was built on ancient Indian burial ground in 1859 by Dr Barton. Ignoring warnings from locals about building on sacred land, shortly after moving in with his wife the couple’s two daughters died under mysterious circumstances. It’s said that Barton was driven mad by grief and turned to Satanic worship.  After Barton died the Mansion was left abandoned.

In 2001 a group of teenagers decided to explore the abandoned building to see if it was really haunted. According to the group on their first visit they found a piece of raw meat surrounded by a circle of stones by the basement door.

The next night, two of the teenagers intrigued by their findings returned to the house but this time armed with a video camera. The following footage is what they captured as they explored the house one last time.


2. Fallen Angel of Catalonia

Where: Catalonia, Spain.

Background story: Perhaps the most famous video on the list, there is surprisingly little to no information on the video other than the location it was filmed in. Uploaded to YouTube in 2006, the footage follows two men as they explore a forest at night only to stumble across a creature that has been described as a fallen angel, chupacabra, ghost and even a demon. This creepy and truly unsettling viral sensation continues to be a baffling mystery.


3. The Blackburn Ghost

Where: Blackburn and Belmont, Lancashire, UK.

Background story: Leaping straight from YouTube fame to news channels around the world, the Blackburn Ghost video went viral in 2015. The video shot by a couple on a mobile phone as what appears to be a pale, hunched figure chase their car. Sound creepy? Well, creepy doesn’t do this video justice.


4. Haunted Hospital

Where: Honduras.

Background story: This paranormal footage captured in a haunted hospital  emerged on the internet in 2016. The clip shows a ghostly figure seemingly appearing out of nowhere and then walking the dimly-lit corridor of the hospital.  It’s believed that the footage was captured in the School Hospital Universitario in Honduras, where a doctor apparently committed suicide some years ago. His ghost is said to haunt the building and is known to make the lights flicker in rooms where patients are staying.


5. Ghosts of Gettysburg

Where: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Background story: Considered by many to be the best ghost video ever recorded, Tom Underwood was visiting the Gettysburg Battlefield in 2001 with his family when he recorded this video at Triangular Field. It appears to show semi-transparent figures walking through the woods one after another. Are they the fallen soldiers of long ago battles? You’ll have to decide for yourself.


6. Disneyland Ghost

Where: Disneyland Resort, California.

Background story: This video taken of security camera monitors at Disneyland appears to show a ghost walking around on the grounds at night. What’s interesting is that the apparition is captured by multiple cameras. Some believe it to be the ghost of Walt Disney himself.


7. The Haunting of Room #209

Where: Illinois

Background story: Filmed by the Wingate hotel security manager who was standing watch on September 14, 2003. His voice can be heard in the background of the recording. According to the manager, people staying at the hotel began calling in noise complaints to the front desk with reports of loud screaming coming from the 2nd floor – in particular from room #209.


8. Southport TV Poltergeist

Where: Manchester, United Kingdom.

Background story: This YouTube sensation released by Southport TV is fast becoming one of the most watched poltergeist video’s online. During the early hours of 1st November 2012, security staff monitoring CCTV at an office in Castlefield House on Liverpool Road, Manchester, witnessed a harrowing chain of events. This is the actual footage seen by those security guards as they flicked from camera to camera.


9. London Underground Sighting

Where: Knightsbridge Station, London.

Background story: The London underground is commonly known as one of the most haunted locations in Britain. Filmed at Knightsbridge Station this footage shows what appears to be the hazy figure of a man leaping onto the tracks.


10. Horton Mine

Where: Nevada, United States

Background story: A brave explorer stumbled on to this abandoned mine called The Horton Mine. Here in his own words is what he had to say about his chilling experience:

“I had a startling encounter with the supernatural while exploring the abandoned Horton Mine located near the massive Victorine Mine in Nevada. The Horton Mine dates back to the mid-1800s. I have been inside over a hundred abandoned mines, but this one was definitely the creepiest. As I ventured hesitantly down the tunnel, it felt more and more wrong. You’ll see in the video the supernatural occurrence that caused me to ultimately turn around and head back out of the tunnel.”
