Photographer And Cameraman Wrestle Aggressively As They Wait For Lib Dem Leader Tim Farron Outside A Polling Station

A cameraman and a photographer were involved in an awkward election day scuffle waiting for Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron.

A handful of photojournalists had gathered outside a polling station in Cumbria where the politician was casting his vote. One cameraman appeared to budge a photographer by the front door causing him to nearly topple on the floor, prompting a few tense moments of pushing and shoving between a handful of people.

The man then saw red and after adjusting his footing he barged into the cameraman with his shoulder, knocking him out of place. After trying to regain his position by the door the photographer is then floored by the cameraman after he grabbed his shoulder and yanked it down.

A reporter filming the event can be heard saying: ‘They’re having a proper scrap.’ At this point other members of the press grab at each other’s coats in apparent bid to calm the escalating situation. The man who had fallen to the floor managed to get on his feet again and proceeded to join the melee of journalists awaiting Farron.
