Prisoner Is Challenging South Dakota’s Porn Ban In Prisons

To us, being able to send dick pics in the mail to random women is something Charles Sisney should have thought about before he pleaded guilty to murder more than 20 years ago.

But according to Gizmodo, the convicted murderer who once sued the South Dakota State Penitentiary for violating his religious rights when they changed the way they prepared kosher food is back at it again. His issue this time? You guessed it – South Dakota’s statewide ban on porn in prisons.

Specifically, Sisney is super butthurt over the prison denying him access to two erotic novels, “Thrones of Desire” and “Pride and Prejudice: The Wild and Wanton Edition,” that were mailed to him as gifts. There were also images of classical nudes from Michelangelo as well as copies of a “Japanese romcom manga” known as “Pretty Face” that were kept out of his possession.

Somewhere along the way, prison officials also prevented Sisney from getting his hands on a yoga magazine. The current law also gives those officials the right to keep prisoners from writing explicit letters or receiving explicit material, written or visual, and what is deemed “explicit” is 100 percent up to the prison.

So just why then are people up in arms over convicted murder Charles Sisney’s inability to get his hands on porn? In all honestly, it beats the hell out us.
