PUBG Drop Lawsuit Against Battle Royale Rival Fortnite

In an unexpected move, PUBG Corp has just withdrawn their copyright lawsuit against Epic Games.

It was around a month ago when PUBG filed the complaint against their rivals, claiming that Fortnite copied ideas from PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

They planned to take their case to South Korea and it was expected to be one of the biggest copyright cases of the year.

It’s reported that PUBG sent a letter to Epic on Monday this week, which stated their intentions of dropping the lawsuit.

The case has now been closed and it’s not clear whether an outside settlement has been agreed, but either way Epic Games will be able to continue with Fortnite without hassle.

Who knows, maybe they’ll actually become friends? A cross-over would be pretty interesting actually, but don’t hold your breathe. What am I talking about, that will never happen.
