The Red Shamrock: More Random Musings And Week Ten Picks

Editor’s note: Last week’s NFL picks were for week nine, not eight. The Red Shamrock is a poor proofreader.

Another week of random musings as I have a lot running through my head.

I have a news flash for the people of America. It’s not the end of the world now that our election is over. Don’t worry; I’m not going to get into the ends and outs of who should have won and why candidate Douche is better than Turd Sandwich or vice versa. To paraphrase a fictional man trapped on an island with just a painted volleyball, “You have to keep breathing. And tomorrow the sun will rise, and who knows what the tide will bring.”

Is this the way to the migration to Canada?

The one thing lost in this political drama? The Cubbies won the World Series. I’m pretty convinced Joe Maddon had shut down part of his brain when he pulled Kyle Hendricks in the bottom of the 5th inning. But the baseball gawds smiled upon the Cubbies, and it was nice to see a team I root for finally win a championship.

In all seriousness, Joe Maddon is a huge reason things have finally turned around for the Cubs

One more thing about the World Series; baseball broadcasts pretty much only show Anthony Rizzo’s at bats from the waist up because it always looks like he is about to fawk the sheet out of the ball. I find this hilarious.

Rizzo could make a stripper blush

That’s it. the only two things that have been running through my head for the last few days. Oh yeah, who is 44-22-4 over the last five weeks picking against the spread? Me. I’m on fire. Enjoy the celebration of my fire.

ldkb9pl1 The Red Shamrock didn’t start the fire, wait, there’s fire in this image?

Yeah, I’m not supposed to brag, but I seriously am impressed with myself on my comeback. I’ll stop now before I jinx myself, but enjoy this celebratory booty along with my week 10 picks.
