SEX SALES RIGHT? THAI BUSINESS MAN INCORPORATES NUDE MODELS IN ADVERTISING – BREAKS THE LAW INSTEAD

Prasong Runnakorn, the owner of Nina’s Coffee, decided to use two models dressed in only panties and heels, with just aprons over their bodies.

One model posed for pictures, while another was featured in a video.

But it quickly turned out that the advertisement was against Thailand’s law and the businessman was charged with publically uploading obscene materials, facing a potentially harsh punishment, including 3-5 years in jail and a fine of 100,000 Thai baht ($3,165 US).

“The owner said he didn’t know better and admitted it was a way to publicize his coffee shop that just opened last Tuesday. He didn’t realize it would break the law, because the model in the photos wasn’t fully naked”, police commented.

For their parts in it, the models claim that they were not paid and instead they posed for the pictures and video out of the goodness of their… hearts. “They are a new business and didn’t have customers so I just wanted to help. I have apologized for this. I hope people will forgive me. I didn’t know how angry so many people would be about it”, said Arisa.
