Traffic Cops Fired After Forgoing $19,000 In Parking Tickets In Exchange For Free Pizza

Traffic Cops Fired After Forgoing $19,000 In Parking Tickets In Exchange For Free Pizza

No one likes to get a parking ticket, that is why you pop numerous blood vessels when you return to your parked car only to see a ticket under your windshield wipers. But it sounds like employees at Sicilia Pizza in Salt Lake City never had to worry about getting parking tickets because four cops would forgive their illegal parking as long as they got free pizza.

For the last two years, Officer Jeff Clegg and three of his colleagues have accepted free food from the pizzeria in order for the establishment employees to avoid parking violations. As much a $19,000 worth of fines — just under 800 tickets at $25 each — were uncollected.

“If I see a menu of the restaurant in the lower left-hand corner of the vehicle, it is either an employee or the owner’s (of the restaurant) vehicle and we are not to cite those vehicles,” Clegg told KUTV. “It got to the point that we just go in the back (of the restaurant) and get what you want, so we would go behind the counter and get our own pizza.”

The officers would only hand out warnings, but not actually write out any tickets.

The free pizza deal was made between Clegg and restaurant owner Amrol Hararah, and was discovered during the station’s probe of Clegg’s firing, which he claimed was due to his complaints of workplace bullying. Yeah, that was lie. Clegg eventually admitted it was because of all that free pizza he got.

A very bodacious arrest.

There’s ballsy, and then there’s stupid. I know which of those I think this guy is, but I’ll let you guys make the call. What you’re looking at was recorded live in New York City’s famed Time Square. A driver in a Mercedes Benz AMG C63 is roasting the tires, putting on a killer smoke show for the ever-present Times Square crowd. All seems to be going well until sh*t hits the fan.

The 54 Hottest Women Currently In Prison

The 54 Hottest Women Currently In Prison

These are real quotes and these are real women in prison who can be found on Meet-an-inmate.com. The hottest women in prison include a wide variety of young women who, for whatever reason, found themselves on the wrong side of the law and, ultimately, behind bars. We all hear the stories of famous celebrities being locked up (we're looking at you, Lindsay Lohan), but Hollywood hotties aren't the only beautiful women who are locked up: Lovely ladies from all over the country are currently imprisoned. Sadly, their beauty is rarely seen outside prison walls, but now, with the help of this list, you too can gaze upon their lovely countenance. I've listed some of the most smoking hot beauties in prison here, so feel free to vote for your personal favorites.

Some of the hot women in prison on this list are just looking for pen pals. Doing time is no picnic, but these gorgeous prisoners are hoping to pass the hours away corresponding with friends on the outside. Other hot female inmates might be interested in something more – possibly true love. Some mention that they don't have time to play games in love, but really, if you think about it, they've got nothing but time.

Many of these women are incarcerated for very, very serious crimes, including murder, so keep that in mind. Some mention that they are working to better themselves while behind bars. Hopefully that happens. As one inmate puts it, "Even the best of people make mistakes right?"

A surprising number of hot inmates on this list say they're just looking for a good, honest person to spend time with, and some even mention they'd relocate for that person, if things worked out. Others simply want a penpal – nothing more.

He Was Set To Sell His DeLorean For $70K - Then, A Suspicious Fire

He Was Set To Sell His DeLorean For $70K - Then, A Suspicious Fire

Where there's smoke, there's usually fire—a phrase that may apply doubly to a strange story out of Utah. Daryl Kemsley, a 22-year-old YouTuber and car aficionado, tells Fox 13 that his dream car, a 1981 DeLorean driven just 8,100 miles, began to smoke after it was rear-ended in a hit-and-run in Orem on Friday, after Kemsley had decided to sell it for $70,000. Kemsley says he pulled into a Rite Aid parking lot and watched as the car—one of about 9,000 made between 1981 and 1982—caught flame. The vehicle was eventually destroyed, but Kemsley says he could've saved it—and perhaps avoided minor burns—if a Rite Aid employee hadn't impeded him. According to Kemsley, a female employee refused to let him borrow the store's fire extinguisher, claiming it was company property, and declined to use it herself, saying she didn't know how.

"I stood there in front of her for minutes begging and pleading … all while the flames got bigger," Kemsley writes in a Facebook post. A since-removed comment on the same post points to a different story, per Jalopnik. "I'm the girl who handed you the Rite Aid fire extinguisher, which you refused," it reads. "Why are you lying about this story?" DeLorean Performance Industries has a theory. It says Kemsley had falsely claimed the company fully restored the car "to get a premium in the sale," and "he decided to [destroy-torch] the car in an attempt to collect his assured value." The Orem Police Department's own Facebook post about the fire adds to the suspicion. "We can all speculate as to why this happened this weekend … #youbethejudge," it reads. Kemsley denies wrongdoing, telling Jalopnik that the Facebook commenter "stole" the extinguisher and arrived at the fire too late.

A state trooper was hospitalized after his ear was partially bitten off when he was assaulted Thursday morning after he responded to a call about a man walking in the roadway. The incident happened just after 7 a.m. on Nickel Plate Diagonal Road near Biggs Road in LaGrange Township.

Authorities said the trooper responded to the area after a caller reported a man, later identified as 44-year-old Cornelious L. Carey, walking in the roadway. The caller told police the man appeared drunk and she was worried about him getting hit by a car. When the trooper found Carey and approached him, Carey became confrontational and started hitting him in the face and bit off a part of the trooper's left ear, authorities said.

Owner Travels 500 Miles To BEAT UP Customer Who Left Bad Review

This is the shocking moment a woman was slapped and kicked to the ground after leaving a bad review for a late delivery. Security footage shows the customer, named as Xiao Li, sprawling on the floor after she is accosted by a man.

In the video, the man kicks and slaps the woman repeatedly after she looks at her phone causing her to stumble and fall.

He viciously kicks and slaps her repeatedly. The woman was taken to hospital, where she was treated for injuries including concussion.

The victim is claimed to have been messaged by the Mr Zhang who said he had travelled all night from Suzhou more than 500 miles away so he could “teach her a lesson”.

Alabama Man Accused Of Sexually Molesting A Horse

Alabama Man Accused Of Sexually Molesting A Horse

If you’re friends with Daniel Bennett of Irvington, Alabama, do the guy a solid and buy him an Xbox.

According to Fox News, the 18-year-old man has allegedly been spending his free time “repeatedly sexually molesting a horse” at a nearby farm, and naturally, the horse’s owners are sick and tired of it.

The last time around, Francine Janes and her husband, who was armed with a gun, found Bennett hiding in a barn stall, and when they asked him what the hell he was doing there, he allegedly said he “likes horses” and wanted to “pet the horse.”

Well, maybe the definition of “pet” in Alabama is different than the one I learned because Bennett was found in a trench coat with a “burglar’s tool” inside. And while that’s seems rather odd, it’s nowhere close to other things Janes and her husband have found after Bennett allegedly went to town on one of their horses named Polly “multiple” times in December alone.

“I would say seven maybe 10 times,” Janes said. “Toilet paper had been left. The hay stacks had been removed. Items had been turned over. And that’s as far as I want to go.”

It’s unknown exactly what Bennett did to Polly, but his arrest warrant lists his crime of bestiality as a misdemeanor and claims he “engaged in or submitted to any sexual contact with an animal, to-wit: a horse,” so you know it was pretty fucking gross.

This Wanted Texas Man Has His Social Security Number Tattooed On His Forehead

This Wanted Texas Man Has His Social Security Number Tattooed On His Forehead

As I write this, 40-year-old wanted man Robert Wooten has not been caught by police. But something tells me that police won’t have a tough time identifying him once they do eventually catch up to him. And why do I believe that? Because Wooten has his damn social security number tattooed on his forehead.

Wooten, a career criminal, is wanted for stealing cigarettes from a Valero Corner Store. Oh, and he did it twice. According to KFOR, an employee was forced to close the convenience store after the register went down. And this is where things got weird.

Officers said several customers, including Wooten, were waiting outside when the store later re-opened. As the group walked in, the suspect allegedly followed the employee and asked him a series of strange questions. Court documents obtained by KIAH quote the suspect asking, “You care about your life?”

That’s when deputies said Wooten lifted his shirt, revealing a firearm tucked into his waistband on the right side. He demanded the employee give him various brands of cigarettes and the victim complied, investigators said.

The suspect returned to the same store on Nov. 4 to rob more cigarettes, according to police reports.

But not only does this idiot have his social security tattooed on his forehead, he also has Houston’s area code, 713, tattooed on his neck. Boy, he’s sure making it easy on cops.

And if you’re curious, here’s some of the “wonderful” things Wooten has done in his past:  indecent exposure, aggravated robbery, violation of a protective order due to violence, burglary and numerous drug-related charges.

Here’s hoping police catch up to him soon.

Immigration Agents Target Dozens Of 7-Eleven Stores With Employment Audits

Immigration Agents Target Dozens Of 7-Eleven Stores With Employment Audits

US immigration agents descended on dozens of 7-Eleven stores before dawn Wednesday to open employment audits and interview workers in what officials described as the largest operation against an employer under Donald Trump's presidency. Agents targeted about 100 stores nationwide, broadening an investigation that began with a 4-year-old case against a franchisee on New York's Long Island. The audits could lead to criminal charges or fines over the stores' hiring practices. The action appears to open a new front in Trump's sharp expansion of immigration enforcement.

Derek Benner, a top official at US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said Wednesday's operation was "the first of many" and "a harbinger of what's to come" for employers. He said there would be more employment audits and investigations, though there is no numerical goal. "This is what we're gearing up for this year and what you're going to see more and more of is these large-scale compliance inspections, just for starters. From there, we will look at whether these cases warrant an administrative posture or criminal investigation," said Benner. Though agents arrested 21 people suspected of being in the country illegally during Wednesday's sweep, the action was aimed squarely at management.

Topless Woman Seduces Uber Driver While Boyfriend Tries To Rob Him

Topless Woman Seduces Uber Driver While Boyfriend Tries To Rob Him

A 22-year-old woman from Louisiana named Rayna Fillios, had quite the plan with her boyfriend, 24-year-old  Anthony Kennedy, when she invited an Uber driver over to her home.

It all kicked off when Fillios asked her Uber driver to “come over” after he gave her a ride. The pair exchanged information and before you know it the Uber driver knocked on Fillios’ door. And wouldn’t you know it but Fillios answered the door completely topless. After talking, the unnamed driver attempted to leave as he felt Fillios was teasing him, but this was the moment that Fillios grabbed the driver, kissed him and bit his tongue.

And that was enough of a distraction for Kennedy to appear, pull a knife on the driver and demand money from him.

The brave driver refused, and this pissed off Kennedy enough for him to punch the driver in the face, knocking out a tooth before fleeing the scene.

Harahan cops were able to use a police dog to track down Kennedy as they found him hiding in a backyard shed like an idiot. Kennedy refused to comply with officers, so the dog attacked him. Kennedy was taken to the hospital soon after.

Cops arrested both Fillios and Kennedy. Fillios is charged with second-degree battery and principal to armed robbery, while her boyfriend is charged with attempted armed robbery, second-degree battery, violation of a protection order and resisting an officer.

Just a match made in heaven if you ask me.

10 Serial Killers You've Never Heard Of

10 Serial Killers You've Never Heard Of

Everyone has heard of Ted Bundy, Aileen Wuornos, and Jeffrey Dahmer, but they are not the only serial killers in the world or even in the United States. There are hundreds of serial killers you've never even heard of and the reason why is mostly that they are not shocking enough or prolific enough. Many happened before the media became so connected and ingrained in our daily lives. And many others that operate even today cross jurisdictions, state lines, and even country boundaries to commit and conceal their crimes. Allow me to introduce you to just ten serial killers that the general population know little to nothing about. I included photos of those who had them. Unfortunately, not everyone liked their photos taken.

Martha Woods

A military wife who followed her husband around the country from base to base, Martha Woods was a woman inflicted with mental illness known as Munchausen’s Syndrome by Proxy. Woods enjoyed the attention she would get when someone she was close to was seriously ill or died. She enjoyed the attention so much so that she would smother several children which resulted in the death of 7 children.

Martha Woods would always rush her ailing baby to the nearest hospital. The child was always unconscious and had always spent time alone in Woods care. Woods would proclaim that the infant simply stopped breathing for unknown reasons and she was not suspected in any death until her adopted son, Paul, died. Intensive psychiatric testing found her sane and she stood trial for the death of Paul. Woods was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. Woods’ victims were three of her own children, a nephew, a niece, a neighbors child, and Paul.

Jack the Stripper

Jack the Stripper showed up in England nearly 70 years after Jack the Ripper had ended his spree. Like the Ripper, this Jack killed prostitutes and remains unidentified to this day. However, Jack the Stripper took a total of eight victims and lasted over six years whereas Jack the Ripper had five victims and lasted only ten weeks. Jack the Stripper earned his name from the way he left his corpses stripped of their clothing.

On June 17, 1959, 21-year-old Elizabeth Figg’s body was found in only a slip and floating in the Thames River. Her method of death was strangulation. On November 8, 1963, 22-year-old Gwynneth Rees’ skeletal remains were found near the same river during a brush cleanup project. Her cause of death was not determined due to the condition of the bones. February 2, 1964 brought the discovery of the naked body of 30-year-old Hannah Tailford bobbing in the Thames. On April 9, 1964, 20-year-old Irene Lockwood's body was found naked in the Thames and floating only 300 yards from where they found Tailford’s body. Both women had drowned and it was ascertained that Lockwood was four months pregnant. The first victim found away from the River Thames was 20-year-old Helen Barthelemy. Her nude body was found in a sports field in Brentwood on April 24, 1964. The next to be found away from the river was 21-year-old Mary Fleming on July 14, 1964. She had likely been choked to death and this time the killer took her dentures. On November 25, 1964, Margaret McGowan had been found after missing a month. Jack’s spree ended February 16, 1965 when the nude body of 27-year-old Bridget O’Hara was found in the bushes on the Heron Trading Estate in Acton. The suspects for Jack the Stripper were numerous, but not a single person was ever found to be connected to the murders and the case remains open to this day.

Robert Zarinky

Zarinsky on His Way Into a Court Appearance

New Jersey native Robert Zarinsky had already been convicted of arson and grave desecration after he set fire to a lumberyard and ransacked several Jewish cemeteries in Monmouth and Union Counties. He spent 13 months for these crimes in the Trenton State Psychiatric Hospital. Upon release, he opened a wholesale produce business but his urges to murder would soon arise.

In April 1969, Zarinsky began with the murder of 17-year-old Linda Balbanow. He kidnapped her and her body was dumped into the Raritan River. Next was 16-year-old Rosemary Calandriello from Atlantic Highlands and Zarinsky was charged with her kidnapping. Her body was never found and his charges were dismissed on the grounds of denial of a speedy trial. He may have gotten away with it had he not begun bragging about how he skirted the law because no one would find her body after the murders of his next three victims. In 1968, 13-year-old Jane Durrua disappeared and her body was found nude in a field in North Middleton. In December of 1974, Zarinsky was again the suspect in the murders of 14-year-old Doreen Carlucci and 15-year-old Joanne Delardo from Middlesex Country. Again, the girls were kidnapped, this time together, and their bodies dumped half-naked in Manalapan Township. Their cause of death was strangulation with an electrical cord. In February 1975, Zarinsky was charged with Calendriello’s murder and held in lieu of $125,000 bond. He was convicted in April of first degree murder and was upheld upon appeal when the court decided the absence of a body does not bar someone from prosecution. In August 1999, his cousin implicated him and Theodore Schiffer, another cousin, in the 1958 murder of Rahway police officer Charles Bernoski. Schieffer pled guilty in that case and was a witness against Zarinsky. Bernoski’s widow then sued Zarinsky for wrongful death of her husband and was awarded $9.5 million in damages. Zarinsky died in prison on November 28, 2008 of pulmonary fibrosis.

Antonis Daglis

Antonis Daglis was a Greek serial killer that terrorized prostitutes in Athens, Greece in the mid 1990s. After raping and strangling his three victims, he would then dispose of their bodies by way of dismemberment with a chainsaw and scattering their remains along the sides of highways. How Daglis managed to elude capture so long is beyond understanding. He was not the best at his craft and managed to let six women destined for the same fate escape. One woman, Ann Hamson, was even able to convince Daglis that, although he did pick her up as if she was a prostitute, she was not a lady of the night and therefore he should let her go, and he did.

When all was said and done, he confessed to various crimes and was convicted on January 23, 1997 on counts such as three rape-slayings and six attempted murders. Daglis was sentenced to 13 consecutive life terms plus and extra 25 years behind bars.

Bai Baoshan

Bai entering court

Considered China’s most prolific serial killer with 15 known victims, Bai Baoshan’s “revenge” began in March of 1996 after being released from prison on a 13-year stint for murder and robbery in the early 1980s.

In March, Baoshan attacked a police guard and stole his semi-automatic weapon that he later used to kill one person and wound six others. Police and investigators believe he also robbed and killed a cigarette vendor in Beijing prior to leaving town and heading to the northern Chinese province Hebei. While there, Baoshan killed another policeman to steal his automatic gun. He traveled quickly to Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang province where he picked up two accomplices. The trio then killed ten people which included police officers, security guards, and civilians. During their spree, they also managed to steal 1.5 million yuan (roughly $226,000) to fund their travels and survival. But with Baoshan being who he was, he did not want to share his loot with his cohorts, so he killed one of them and ran off with the money alone. In October of 1997, Baoshan returned to Beijing and was arrested by the authorities. He was charged with 14 homicides and countless other felonies to which he confessed to all of them. He was tried and convicted for all counts and was put to death on May 6, 1998.

Howard Arthur Allen

Mug Shot

In 1974, Howard was just 24-years-old and had already been convicted of manslaughter when he had broken into the home of 85-year-old Opal Cooper. He had intended to just rob her of her valuables, but ended up beating her to death during the crime. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison and was paroled in January 1985. He moved home to Indianapolis where he worked in a car wash to make ends meet.

On May 18, 1987, Allen’s reign of terror began with a 73-year-old woman who barely escaped death at his hands. Two days later, 87-year-old Laverne Hale was not so lucky. Allen tried the same thing on a home of an elderly man just five blocks from Laverne’s home but when he found that the man was not home, he set fire to the residence to express his anger. July 14, 1987, 73-year-old Ernestine Griffin was stabbed eight times with a butcher knife and a toaster was used to beat her about the head in an attack that took her life. Allen made off with just $15 and a camera. Allen was arrested later that day. When all was said and done, Allen had killed two women and set fire to a home in the course of three months. He was also a suspect in eleven other cases involving robbery or assault on elderly victims in their homes. Allen was convicted in 1988 and sentenced to 88 years behind bars. He was also convicted individually for the murder of Ernestine Griffin and was sentenced to death. His sentence was commuted to 60 years in 2013 and he is set for released in 2035.

Charles William Yukl

Charles William Yukl was a self-employed piano teacher when he was first convicted of murdering one of his students, 25-year-old Suzanne Reynolds. He had reported her body in an adjacent apartment. She was beaten, stripped, and stabbed to death. Yukl was brought in for questioning and confessed to her murder the following morning. He was tried, convicted, and sentenced to 7-15 years in prison. However, he was released after only five years due to being a model prisoner and a good candidate for parole.

Yukl lasted only 14 months before he killed again on August 20, 1974. The nude body of Karen Schlegel was found on the rooftop of an apartment building in Greenwich Village. She had been dead only 12 hours and her cause of death was strangulation. Yukl was a prime suspect as he lived in that apartment building as well. He also confessed to luring her to her death by utilizing an ad placed in a theatrical magazine. Yukl told the authorities that he strangled her with a necktie prior to stripping her and carrying her to the rooftop the night before. He was declared competent for trial by psychiatrists and was indicted on September 6, 1974. In June of 1976, Yukl reached a plea agreement for a 15-year sentence. However, on August 22, 1982, he hung himself in his prison cell using a shredded mattress cover.

Jose Antonio Rodriguez Vega

Vega Heading Into Court

Considered Spain’s most prolific serial killer, Jose Antonia Rodriguez Vega murdered 16 elderly women within the two years of 1986-1988. Vega had already been a convicted rapist at this point and had spent years in prison for his crimes. However, once he left prison, he found himself to be impotent and incredibly frustrated and ashamed. His modus operandi was simple: convince the women he was the right man for their simple task, then kill and rape them.

Vega was not your normal serial killer though as he was extremely good at cleaning his crime scenes. His first set of murders were so clean that they were not even considered crimes until he confessed during his capture. He would finish his crime by tucking them neatly redressed and tucked into their beds and the authorities wrote them off as deaths due to old age. Vega did keep trophies of his victims and even kept a complex shrine with all of them in his home. That shrine helped many people report possible crimes when a local news organizations broadcast video from his apartment and photos of his shrine. People called in to the authorities when they saw items belonging to their relatives on his shrine. He was convicted and sentenced to 440 years. However, Spanish law stated that he would not serve more than 30 years and he was scheduled for release in 2008. Have no fear, though. You will never run into Vega in Spain or any other location as he was killed by two inmates brandishing shanks on October 22, 2002.

Richard Trenton Chase

Chase Trying to Stare Down the Media

Known as the Vampire of Sacramento, Richard Trenton Chase killed six people in his drive to obtain and drink as much blood as he could in an effort to cure an unknown disease he was certain he had. This unknown disease, he insisted, was drying up his own blood and was contracted through a poison placed under his soap dish by Nazi’s.

His need for blood began on December 29, 1977 when Chase gunned down 51-year-old Ambrose Griffin in a drive-by shooting. Griffin was not drained of blood as this was just a “warm up” for Chase to get him ready for the murders he was planning to carry out. Chase moved on in January 1978 when he then entered the home of married couple, David and Theresa, where Theresa was home and three months pregnant. She had taken out the garbage and left the door unlocked. He killed her by shooting her in the head and obtained her blood by cutting her open with a kitchen knife. He also ate some of her organs. He committed his last murders on January 27, 1977 when he entered the home of 22-year-old Evelyn Miroth who was home and babysitting her 22-month-old nephew and her own six-year-old son. Evelyn had a neighbor over to watch the boys while she took a bath. Dan Meredith, 51, was shot point blank in the head when he entered the hall way to see who had some in the door. Evelyn’s six-year-old tried to escape Chase by running to the bedroom, but was shot in the head, as was the 22-month-old nephew. Chase proceeded into the bathroom where he found Evelyn, shot her, dragged her body to the bedroom, and drank her blood. Had it not been for the knock on the front door by a little neighbor girl who had a play date with Evelyn’s son, it is hard to say what would have happened next.

Chase was apprehended and stood tried in 1979. He was found guilty of first degree murder on all counts and was sentenced to die via gas chamber. However, before his sentence could be carried out, Chase took the easy way out and committed suicide using doctor prescribed anti-depressants he had been saving up for several weeks. Chase died on December 26, 1980, almost exactly three years since his crime spree began.

Joe Ball

Ball on the Beach

Joe Ball ran a tavern in the 1930s called The Sociable Inn. He had nice waitresses and an exciting alligator pit out back that smelled of rotting meat due to the bait he used to feed them with. Joe was a scary man who enjoyed showing off the feeding frenzy he created with his alligators during feeding time to bar patrons willing to pay a few extra pennies. He had also threatened a police officer with a gun after he complained about the smell coming from the alligator pit and had intimidated a neighbor to the point of the neighbor packing his family up in the middle of the night and leaving the state. Ball had a much deeper and darker side, however.

In September 1937, Minnie Gotthardt, 22-years-old, was reported missing to the authorities by her family. Her last place of employment was at Ball’s bar. He told police she had left for another job and the police were satisfied with his answer and closed the case. The second woman reported missing was Julia Turner. Another bar maid that Ball insisted had left after a fight she had with her roommate and Ball had given her $500 to help her leave. The fight was never proven to have happened once they spoke to the roommate. Hazel Brown vanished after opening a bank account and then never claiming the money she deposited into it. Once the Texas Rangers became involved, it became clear that he had a history of knowing women who ended up missing, permanently. These included Ball’s second and third wives. Ball also had an accomplice who eventually gave up some information that lead to an inquiry into Ball’s establishment. However, when the Texas Rangers entered the Sociable Inn on September 24, 1938 to look at Ball’s meat barrel where he kept the food for his alligators, Ball realized his time was up. He pulled a gun from the register and shot himself in the head. In the end, it is speculated that Joe Ball may have killed and disposed of up to 20 women, feeding most of them to his alligators.

Parolee Busted After Wearing Ankle Monitor To Restaurant Robbery

Parolee Busted After Wearing Ankle Monitor To Restaurant Robbery

I know you folks love my advice so here’s some more: if you’re going to rob any place at all make sure you don’t have an ankle monitor attached. Why? Because that’s exactly what parolee Adam Hettig did.

The 32-year-old idiot was recently arrested at his home in Chili, New York, after he admitted to robbing a Subway restaurant. And how did police catch up to him? Well Hettig was wearing an ankle monitor during the armed heist, which showed where he was at all times.

When deputies responded to the robbery on Saturday, the clerk said the suspect was a tall white male with blue eyes. No one else was in the store at the time, the clerk reported. Deputies were then notified by the Monroe Crime Analysis Center that Hettig’s ankle monitor indicated that he had been at the Subway — leading cops to arrest him for the robbery.

Hettig, who remains in custody at the Monroe County jail, was paroled in March after serving time following a burglary conviction.

The clerk said that Hettig actually put a butcher’s knife to her throat and demanded money. Here’s what she had to say:

“When I came out he was pushing up against the door, he pushed it open, and then he went around my back around the table, and he had put a knife to my throat. He got impatient, I don’t know what he thought I was doing, but he got impatient and that’s when he choked me … He had the knife in the right hand and choked me with his left (hand).”

This guy is not only a scumbag, but a total idiot. I hope he enjoys the next couple of years behind bars again.

Sleuths Think They've Solved DB Cooper Case

An intriguing twist in the DB Cooper hijacking case: Amateur investigators say a 1971 letter believed to have been sent to authorities by the hijacker has a code that points to his identity, reports Oregon Live. The sleuths, who are preparing a documentary, say they've deciphered a series of numbers at the bottom of the letter that prove a Vietnam vet named Robert Rackstraw of San Diego is the famous bandit. They're not providing precise details on how they arrived at the conclusion just yet, but they say the numbers, including 717171634, refer to Army units that Rackstraw served in during the war, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. A former military code-breaker on the investigative team, led by documentary filmmaker Tom Colbert, is behind the apparent discovery.

Rackstraw's name has surfaced before as a suspect, and he's been coy of late on the subject. "They say that I’m him," the 73-year-old told the San Jose Mercury News last year. "If you want to believe it, believe it." Last summer, the FBI formally closed its investigation into the hijacking, in which the man dubbed Cooper parachuted out of a plane over Washington state with $200,000 in cash. Rackstraw is a former Army paratrooper, one of the many reasons Colbert's team has long focused on him. In the 1971 letter, the hijacker says he used face putty to disguise himself, which could explain why Rackstraw, who was in his 20s at the time, could have resembled the middle-aged hijacker depicted in the famous artist's sketch of Cooper.

Teacher Had Year-Long Affairs With Two Students Claims All 9 Counts Against Her Are ‘Fake News’

Nobody likes fake news! But nobody also likes someone who gets caught with a 14-year-old and 16-year-old student… Another day and yet another story where I am letting off the post with this sentence: Another teacher has been caught, arrested, and faces punishment for, you guessed it! Sleeping with a student.

This time it was two separate ones for a long period of time!

Female teacher at Maysville Local Schools in Zanesville, Ohio has pleaded not guilty to nine counts of sexual battery against two male students.

Darci L. Lake, 23, appeared in court Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court for arraignment.

The former full-time substitute teacher, who was 22-years-old when the offenses began, faces a maximum potential of five years in prison for each of the nine counts, reported the Times Recorder.

Both victims were students – one was 16-years-old and turned 17, and the other was 14-years-old and turned 15.

Lake, who is a 2012 graduate of Maysville High School, was arrested on December 21 on allegations of having a sexual relationship with two underage male students.

Seven of the nine counts listed in her indictment occurred between February 1, 2017 and November 1, 2017.

The other two counts occurred between March 1, 2017, and August 31, 2017.

Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle continued her bond at $200,000.

Lake is no longer contracted with Maysville after Barrie Howell, president of Renhill Group, wrote in an email that she had been dismissed from the company.

Flier Accused Of Sexual Assault While Wife Seated Next To Him

Flier Accused Of Sexual Assault While Wife Seated Next To Him

A 34-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman sitting next to him on a flight while his wife sat on the other side of him, the Washington Post reports. The Detroit Free Press, citing the criminal complaint, reports a 22-year-old woman sleeping next to the window on an early morning Spirit Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Detroit says she woke up "to a hand in her pants and noticed that her pants and shirt were unbuttoned." The woman says the man sitting in the seat next to her had his fingers in her vagina but removed them when he saw she was awake. She went to flight attendants, who say she "appeared visibly upset and was crying."

The man, identified as 34-year-old Prabhu Ramamoorthy, was arrested when the flight landed. In an initial written statement, he allegedly said he had taken a pill and fallen into a "deep sleep" during the flight. His wife, who was sitting on the other side of him, corroborated his story, saying the woman fell asleep on her husband's knees. But a federal prosecutor notes Ramamoorthy gave "conflicting reports" regarding the incident. He later allegedly admitted the pill he took was "plain Tylenol" and told an FBI agent he was playing with the woman's bra and "might have" unhooked it. He also allegedly admitted to groping her breast over her clothing and putting his finger in her pants, though not in her vagina. Ramamoorthy, an Indian national living in the US on a temporary visa, was charged with aggravated sexual abuse. The AP reports he's due back in court Jan. 17.

Guy Wakes Up To Find Date And His $10K Rolex Gone

Guy Wakes Up To Find Date And His $10K Rolex Gone

This isn’t the first time we’ve written about a gal stealing from a dude while he’s asleep as we once told you about a woman who stole $70,000 from a dude after a one-night stand. And so this new story doesn’t surprise us at all.

After a night of hard partying, a Brazilian tourist woke up in his pricey Manhattan hotel room to find that his hot date was gone. Oh, so was his expensive Rolex watch. And of course there are photos of the gal. Have a look:

Blurry, but she looks hot, right? Let’s just go with yes.

The 26-year-old Rio de Janeiro tourist tells police that he met the sticky bandit at PHD Terrace at the Dream Hotel, and that all the partying between the pair ended at his hotel near Lafayette St. The man tells police he felt woozy after his final drink, and he believes he was drugged.

And now because of all that his date and his watch are gone. Police are still looking for the gal. In conclusion, never trust a pretty face. But honestly, the lesson here is to not wear a $10k watch in New York City.

10 Celebrities Whose Walk Of Fame Stars Were Vandalized

10 Celebrities Whose Walk Of Fame Stars Were Vandalized

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce maintains the official site of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They announce “Upcoming Ceremonies,” profile celebrities who’ve received stars on the Walk, and provide other information concerning the organization and its more than 2,500 stars. (Actress Gillian Anderson will become the 2,625th celebrity to receive a star on the Walk in January 2018.)

While serving as acting president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, E.M. Stuart conceived the idea of the Walk, which was set in motion in 1955. The star’s prototype included a caricature, but this feature was abandoned as “too difficult to develop.” The proposed brown and blue colors of the stars’ sidewalks were changed to black and coral. Celebrities from the film, television, radio, and recording industries were eligible to receive the honor of having a star on the Walk.

On August 15, 1958, Hollywood and the Chamber of Commerce unveiled the first eight stars for Olive Borden, Ronald Colman, Louise Fazenda, Preston Foster, Burt Lancaster, Edward Sedgwick, Ernest Torrence, and Joanne Woodward.

Although millions visit the Walk each year and most appear to enjoy the attraction, a few people have vandalized some of the celebrities’ stars. Sometimes, the vandalism seems to have been motivated by misdirected admiration. At other times, disapproval of a celebrity’s behavior appears to have been the reason behind the crime.

A prank might inspire vandalism. Occasionally, the acts seem to have no discernible motives. Each time a star is defaced, its cleanup or restoration costs thousands of dollars. The crime is a felony punishable by fines and jail time. When there are over 2,500 possible targets within a few miles of one another, it’s hard to put an end to such offenses, no matter what inspires them.

10 Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which was added in 2007 in recognition of his work on the television series The Apprentice, has been defaced by a swastika, a mute symbol, and feces. It’s been vandalized so many times that the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce was said to have considered removing it.

The reports turned out to be mere rumors. “The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark,” said Leron Gubler, the Chamber’s president. “Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”[1]

In February 2017, James Lambert Otis, who had pleaded no contest to a charge of vandalism, was sentenced to three years of probation and 20 days of work for the California Department of Transportation. He was also ordered to pay $3,700 to the Hollywood Historic Trust and $700 to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Otis was videotaped destroying Trump’s star with a pickaxe and a sledgehammer while dressed as a construction worker. After smashing the star, he removed the brass medallion at its center.

9 Bob Marley

Reggae legend and activist Bob Marley (1945–1981) was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2001. On October 23, 2017, vandalism to his star was discovered. It appeared that the vandal had pounded the star with a sledgehammer. The damage was repaired two days later at a cost of $3,000, which was borne by the Hollywood Historic Trust.[2]

Ana Martinez, a Hollywood Chamber of Commerce member and the Walk of Fame’s spokesperson, shared a photograph of the vandalized star on Twitter, asking why anyone would have committed such a disrespectful act. Whether the vandalism was prompted by someone who objected to Marley’s activism is unknown. To date, no one has been arrested for the bewildering crime.

8 Mariah Carey

On August 5, 2015, singing sensation Mariah Carey received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in recognition of her successful musical career. In January 2017, the celebrity’s terrazzo-and-brass star was vandalized. A question mark was scratched into the star next to the singer’s name as if challenging her status as a performer.

The incident occurred a week after her dreadful New Year’s Eve show in Times Square where she was wearing a damaged earpiece and was subsequently discovered to be lip-synching. According to Carey, Dick Clark Productions deliberately sabotaged her act to increase its ratings. The production company denies the singer’s allegation.

Police reviewed surveillance camera footage and followed up on a lead that an Instagram user had claimed responsibility for the act of felony vandalism.[3]

7 Hugh Hefner

Twenty-four hours after the death of Playboy magazine publisher Hugh Hefner on September 27, 2017, his Hollywood Walk of Fame star was vandalized. The act didn’t appear to suggest contempt for Hefner, whose publication featuring nude women was controversial.

The vandal used a type of crayon to add a blue crown above the celebrity’s name, as if to signify that he was a pop culture king. If apprehended and convicted, the culprit would have to pay for the cost of the star’s repair according to a Walk of Fame spokesperson.[4]

6 Bill Cosby

After dozens of women accused comedian and actor Bill Cosby of having drugged and sexually assaulted them, many former fans saw the once-beloved father figure and star of such television hits as I Spy and The Cosby Show as a despicable and detested fiend.

This change in the public’s perception of the celebrity may explain the vandalism to his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which was awarded in 1977. The vandal used a black marker to deface the star several times with the word “rapist.” The culprit is still at large.[5]

5 Sofia Vergara

In the past, protesters have made known their displeasure for Sofia Vergara, who froze her embryos. Perhaps the vandalism of her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is related to their objections to the actress’s refusal to either implant or destroy the embryos.

In December 2016, embryos “Emma” and “Isabella” and their trustee, James Charbonnet, initiated a lawsuit against Vergara which claimed that Vergara has denied her embryos their inheritance from a Louisiana trust that was set up for them earlier. Vergara supposedly did this by refusing to let the embryos be born.

The plaintiffs ask that Vergara be ordered to release Emma and Isabella to Nick Loeb, the embryos’ father. This would allow the embryos to live and receive funds from their trust for education, health care, and other things.[6]

A Louisiana judge dismissed the lawsuit on the grounds that the embryos are “California citizens” and the plaintiffs had filed their lawsuit in the wrong state, possibly because Louisiana favors the rights of unborn children. His court had no jurisdiction in the case, the judge said, adding that the case might require an evaluation of the Constitution.

While the actress and her fiance, Joe Manganiello, were in a Hollywood theater watching the premiere of Magic Mike XXL, her star, which she received in May 2015, was defaced with the hashtag “#embryodefense.”

4 John Lennon

“It cost alot [sic] to win & even more 2 lose.” This observation was one of several scribbles on the late John Lennon’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star. The graffiti defacing this state landmark was discovered by Gillian Lomax as she led a tour group there. The star was also marred with a smiley face, a spotted toadstool, “Blackbird . . . Rain was here,” and “I love you.”

“Morons did it,” Lomax said, calling the writings “rather tacky.” The messages were scrawled in different colors of ink, which suggested that they were written by a group according to Lomax. “I tried to rub it out but to no avail,” she added.

After Ana Martinez of the Hollywood Walk of Fame was notified, the graffiti was removed and the star restored to its original appearance. Capitol Records reportedly sought surveillance tape that might have captured the vandals.[7]

3 Harry Houdini

Famed magician Harry Houdini escaped from shackles, cages, straitjackets, and traps during his illustrious career, but he might not have been able to escape the vandals who apparently damaged his Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

The star was unveiled in 1975 and had been undisturbed until Halloween night 2000, when it mysteriously cracked. It has since been repaired, thanks to David Copperfield, Penn & Teller, Siegfried and Roy, and others who paid for the restoration.

The second unveiling of Houdini’s star occurred in October 2008.[8]

2 Ed McMahon

The newspapers stuck to Ed McMahon’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star may have collected there by accident. Alternatively, vandalism might have been the cause of the papers’ sticking to the black substance resembling paint or tar that was spread across the landmark.

No notes, flowers, or other items were present at the site. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce cleaned up the mess the same night. If the act was one of vandalism, no one knows why.[9]

1 Ashley And Mary-Kate Olsen

Twins Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, who starred in the hit television series Full House and are partners in their Dualstar business empire, share a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The twins frequently wear fur and have been targeted by animal rights activists and others, including the vandal who defaced their star with “FUR HAGS!”

The star of fur-wearing actress Sharon Stone was also defaced with the phrase “OLD FUR HAG!”[10] Although the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has frequently attacked the twins for wearing fur, it seems unlikely that PETA itself vandalized the Olsens’ star.

Someone Stole A Bottle Of Vodka Valued At $1.3M

Someone Stole A Bottle Of Vodka Valued At $1.3M

The owner of Denmark's Cafe 33 could probably use a drink. Brian Ingberg says someone broke into his bar this week and stole a bottle of vodka valued at $1.3 million, Radio Free Europe reports.  Ingberg says the bottle of Russo-Baltique was on loan from a Russian businessman. He says it has been in the 1,200-bottle vodka museum in his bar's basement in Copenhagen for the past six months, the Local reports. Ingberg says the one-of-a-kind bottle was uninsured and the only item stolen from the bar.

As for what makes the Russo-Baltique vodka so expensive (it's allegedly the priciest bottle of vodka in the world): Ingberg says it comes from the Dartz factory, "which makes the world's most expensive cars and vodka." The Dartz Motorz Company in Latvia is known for making armored vehicles. The bottle itself is also unthinkably fancy, boasting more than 13 pounds of gold and silver, the leather from a 1912 Monte Carlo rally car, and a cap encrusted with diamonds.

Less Than 1 Ounce Of Marijuana Leads To Arrests Of Over 60 Georgia Partygoers

Less Than 1 Ounce Of Marijuana Leads To Arrests Of Over 60 Georgia Partygoers

At least 63 people were arrested over the weekend on suspicion of possessing less than an ounce of marijuana after police were unable to identify the actual owner of the drug stash found at a house party in Cartersville, Georgia, over the weekend.

Cartersville police said they arrived at the party — billed as a lingerie-themed 21st birthday bash, according to WXIA-TV — about 2:20 a.m. Sun., Jan. 1, 2018, after receiving a 911 call about possible gunshots.

Police, who called in the county drug task force to assist in the investigation, said they found two firearms at the scene, including one that had been reported stolen in Detroit, as well as “several smoking devices” and “suspected cocaine.”

Officers also found less than an ounce of marijuana, reported the Cartersville Daily-Tribune. When no one admitted to owning the weed, everyone still at the party was arrested.

“All the subjects at the residence were placed under arrest for the possession of the suspected marijuana which was within everyone’s reach or control,” said the Bartow Cartersville Drug Task Force in a news release.

Citing jail records, the Daily-Tribune reported that 63 people arrested at the party who’d been processed at Bartow County jail by Monday night had all been charged with a single count of possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana. The individuals arrested were predominantly black males ages 19 to 25. The Daily-Tribune said several of them were “prominent high school athletes.”

Four men were also booked on suspicion of felonies not related to drug possession, reported BuzzFeed News. Attendees told WXIA that the reported gunshots had been fireworks.

Deja Heard, the woman whose 21st birthday was being celebrated at the party, told WSB-TV that “all of us are innocent — it’s just not right.”

Some of the arrested partygoers reported being mistreated by police, telling WSB that they were “tied up with zip ties.” and “threatened with tasers.” Several men said they’d been “locked in cages.”

The Georgia NAACP said it was launching an investigation into the arrests. The organization has backed a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the arrested partygoers, described as the “Cartersville 70.”

“Some of these young people need money to make bail and all of them need assistance with their legal fees. A good majority of these individuals are college students and members of the U.S. military who were visiting home over the holiday break, and decided to attend a party to catch up with old friends while in town. Others were working citizens who lost their jobs the second they walked into work this morning,” the campaign page reads. “They need your help to bring justice and light to the unjust treatment these individuals experienced leading to and during their incarceration.”

In nearby Athens, Georgia, black individuals are 4.7 times more likely to be charged with a marijuana violation than white individuals, according to ThinkProgress. Nationwide, a black person is 3.73 times more likely to be arrested for a marijuana-related offense compared with someone who is white.

On Tue., Jan 2, Cartersville police said in a statement that they would be reviewing a “long-standing” department policy to call the county drug task force during drug investigations.

“It has been a long-standing policy of the Cartersville Police Department that drug investigations routine patrol officers encounter are referred to the Bartow Cartersville Drug Task Force. This current policy is now under review for any further drug investigations,” police said.

The Man Who Forced His Ex-Girlfriend To Walk Naked Down A Street As He Berated Her Is Going To Jail

The Man Who Forced His Ex-Girlfriend To Walk Naked Down A Street As He Berated Her Is Going To Jail

"It’s still hard to get over it. It’s something that I’m going to have to live with forever," the woman testified.

The man who forced his ex-girlfriend to walk naked down a New York City street while berating and filming her has been sentenced to two to seven years in prison, prosecutors announced Wednesday.

Jasson Melo, 26, was convicted of coercion, assault, menacing, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated harassment on Dec. 15.

“In this egregious case of domestic violence, Jasson Melo repeatedly assaulted the mother of his two-month-old child, forced her to walk outside in January naked, filmed his act of utter humiliation, and then disseminated it in a manner that caused it to go viral,” Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance said. “It is my hope that anyone who is suffering from domestic violence and abuse knows that there is help available."

On Jan. 17, 2016, at around 5 a.m., Melo entered the Harlem apartment he shared with his ex-girlfriend and their two-month-old daughter after a night out and began to argue with the woman about text messages she had received from another man, even though, as she later told authorities, their relationship was over and she was in the process of moving.

"Over the course of the next two hours the defendant struck the victim repeatedly on her face and body, punching her in the ribs, stomach, and genital area," prosecutors said in a statement. "He also threatened to throw her down the stairs and strike her with a statue."

At around 8 a.m., the ex-girlfriend told police Melo forced her to leave the apartment wearing only a towel and threatened to kill her if she did not comply. Melo then made her walk down West 142nd Street as he filmed her on his cell phone and berated her.

In the video originally posted to Instagram, Melo follows his ex-girlfriend as he forces her to walk down the street. At one point, as she passes garbage cans, Melo pulls the towel away from her, leaving her naked in frigid temperatures.

"You’re going to pay the price like a whore, right there by the trash,” he says in the now-deleted video. “Pose with your trash.”

The ex-girlfriend, whose name has not been released by law enforcement, testified in December that she had to relocate to Florida after the video went viral on social media because she feared for her and her child's safety.

“I was devastated about everything. It was really hard,” she testified. “It’s still hard to get over it. It’s something that I’m going to have to live with forever.”

On Friday, March 16, 1984, while authorities were escorting Jeffrey Doucet through the airport in Baton Rouge, a man lifted his gun out of nowhere and shot Doucet at point blank range. The man turned out to be Gary Plauche. The judicial system exercised leniency with Gary Plauche by giving him a suspended sentence and probation. He didn’t spend one night in prison for what he had done.

UPDATE: Arrest Made In Prank Call That Led To Fatal Police Shooting

UPDATE: Arrest Made In Prank Call That Led To Fatal Police Shooting

Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in Los Angeles in connection with a "swatting" prank that left a 28-year-old Kansas man dead Thursday night, KWCH reports. Tyler Barriss, arrested Friday afternoon, is accused of making a false report to police. He was arrested two years ago in connection to a bomb threat to ABC Studios. On Thursday police turned up at a house in Wichita after getting a report of someone shooting their father in the head and holding their family hostage. In a recording of the 911 call, the caller says the man was also threatening to set the house on fire, KABC reports. The Wichita Police Department confirmed Friday the call was a swatting prank, in which someone calls in a false report to get a large police response to their victim's home.

In this case, the victim of the prank—reportedly a response to a $1.50 bet on the video game Call of Duty—provided a fake address that sent police to the home of Andrew Finch. Police say Finch at first followed directions to put his hands in the air when he opened the door. Deputy chief Troy Livingston says Finch then moved his hands toward his waistband, leading an officer to fatally shoot him. "Due to the actions of a prankster, we have an innocent victim," Livingston says. But Finch's mother, Lisa Finch, says blame also lies with police. "What gives the cops the right to open fire?" the AP quotes her as saying. "That cop murdered my son." Lisa Finch says police didn't give her son any warning before opening fire, and he was unarmed when he was shot. The FBI estimates there are about 400 cases of swatting a year.

Oregon Police Chase Ends With Suspect Driving Off Pier Into Columbia River

Oregon Police Chase Ends With Suspect Driving Off Pier Into Columbia River

A police chase in Oregon this week ended with a fleeing suspect driving off a pier at full speed into the Columbia River.

Timofey Erofeeff, 27, was allegedly trespassing at a marina in Astoria, Oregon, according to the Daily Astorian, when the police chase was triggered.

The unbelievable video shows the rest, as Erofeeff drove his truck right off the end of a pier. Police estimated he was driving 45 mph at the time he launched into the river.

After briefly trying to swim away, Erofeeff was later fished out of the water by a nearby boat and arrested, according to The Associated Press.

According to Clatsop County Sheriff records, he has been charged with six counts, including attempt to elude, criminal trespass, escape, interfering with an officer, offensive littering and reckless driving.

Astoria police shared another video of a crane fishing the truck from the river on Thursday.

15 Little Known Facts About Prostitution In America

15 Little Known Facts About Prostitution In America -

The world's oldest profession in the US is a complicated economy, drawing in pimps, sex workers, clients, police, and a number of other professions. While many of the details regarding the sex industry are difficult to confirm, recent studies have pulled back the curtain on a secretive world that operates on the edge.

Research published in the last few years regarding selling your body for money and human trafficking statistics reveals that what we thought we knew about both sex workers and their "bosses" needs to be adjusted. For example, most men who control these women have at least a high school education - and many people involved in this type of work were brought into it via family members. It's also hard to overstate how much the Internet has changed the nature of prostitution.

65% Of DC Cameras Were Hacked Before Inauguration

65% Of DC Cameras Were Hacked Before Inauguration -

Romanian hackers infiltrated 65% of outdoor surveillance cameras in Washington, DC, ahead of President Trump's inauguration as part of an extortion scheme only now being made public, according to a criminal complaint. The complaint, filed in DC and unsealed Thursday, accuses Romanians Mihai Alexandru Isvanca, 25, and Eveline Cismaru, 28, of hacking 123 of the city's 187 outdoor police cameras over four days in January 2017, leaving them temporarily unable to record footage, report CNN and the Washington Post. All the cameras were OK by the big day. An affidavit says the individuals—believed to be part of a hacking network—took over the computer system that operated the cameras and began sending ransomware emails to about 180,000 email addresses. Authorities say they planned to lock users out of their computers until they received payment.

DC police first noticed a malfunction in the cameras on Jan. 12. A Secret Service agent then detected the hack. Authorities fixed the problem by taking the cameras offline, wiping them clean, and rebooting them by Jan. 15, five days ahead of Trump's inauguration. No ransom payments were made. "This case was of the highest priority due to its impact on the Secret Service's protective mission and its potential effect on the security plan for the 2017 Presidential Inauguration," a spokesman for US Attorney Jessie K. Liu says, per the Post. Isvanca and Cismaru were arrested in Bucharest on Dec. 15 along with three others who face charges in Europe, reports the BBC. Prosecutors plan to seek extradition for the pair soon. The Post notes that it's not clear the alleged hackers knew they had infiltrated a police computer system.

Police Kill Man After Apparent Video Game Prank

Police Kill Man After Apparent Video Game Prank

A 28-year-old man in Kansas was reportedly killed by police Thursday night over a $1.50 bet made on a video game by two strangers. After receiving a call about someone shooting their father and holding their family hostage, police responded en masse to a house in Wichita, the Wichita Eagle reports. “A male came to the front door,” deputy police chief Troy Livingston says. “As he came to the front door, one of our officers discharged his weapon.” It's unclear why the officer shot the man, and the shooting is under investigation. Family has identified the man as Andrew Finch. More than a dozen self-identified gamers on Twitter tell the Eagle that Finch was killed as the result of "swatting," wherein one person calls in a fictional threat at another's address as a prank. The Verge reports that swatting has resulted in severe injuries in the past, but this may be the first swatting-related death.

The incident started with a $1.50 bet on the game Call of Duty, according to KrebsOnSecurity. One gamer threatened to swat another, and the second dared someone to swat him, tweeting a fake address. The first gamer tweeted Thursday that "that kids house that I swatted is on the news," adding: "I didn't get anyone killed because I didn't discharge a weapon and being a SWAT member isn't my profession." The second gamer tweeted: “Someone tried to swat me and got an innocent man killed.” The first gamer reportedly confessed to KrebsOnSecurity. He reportedly says that while he "of course" feels bad," he won't turn himself in because he's "too scared." Police are investigating the swatting angle. Finch's cousins say he didn't play video games.

Drugs, Gun And Human Teeth Found On Man Stopped In S. Carolina Walmart

Drugs, Gun And Human Teeth Found On Man Stopped In S. Carolina Walmart

Police say they found thousands of doses of heroin, a gun and human teeth on a man detained during a suspected shoplifting investigation at a South Carolina Walmart on Christmas Eve.

Officers tell the Sun News of Myrtle Beach they charged 21-year-old Tavon Malik Stanley of Calabash, North Carolina, with crimes including heroin trafficking and drug possession.

Officials at a North Myrtle Beach Walmart detained Stanley after they saw a person with him allegedly take around $25 worth of items without paying for them. Stanley had a Ruger 9 mm handgun and more than $2,500 in cash, and officers found dozens of pills, thousands of doses of heroin and two human teeth in his backpack.

Stanley was released from jail on bond. It wasn't known if he had an attorney.

Locked Away for 15 Years, 42-Pound Woman Found Dead

Crime-Fighting Robot Retired After Launching Alleged 'War On The Homeless' In San Francisco

For at least 15 years, Airi Kakimoto was confined to a 32-square-foot room without windows or heat, according to police. Her suffering would only be exposed with her death. Authorities in Japan say the 33-year-old was found dead in her parents' Neyagawa home on Saturday. She died days earlier around Dec. 18 from exposure to cold in an unheated structure her parents had built separate from the main home, report CNN and the Japan Times. Authorities say Yasutaka Kakimoto, 55, and Yukari Kakimoto, 53, admitted to locking their daughter in the room from the age of 16 or 17 because of a mental illness that made her violent, per Reuters. Extremely malnourished and weighing just 42 pounds at her death, Airi was fed once a day and drank from a tube connected to an outdoor water tank, according to police.

Police say some 10 security cameras allowed the couple to keep watch over their daughter and the property at large. But neighbors and city officials say they had no idea what went on behind a 6.5-foot-tall fence surrounding the area. IT was the parents who reported their daughter's death to police. "We wanted to be together with our daughter," who was "adorable," police quoted them as saying. Both were arrested Tuesday and charged with abandoning a corpse, which often precedes more serious charges. Mental health groups are now using the case to highlight the stigma toward mental illness in Japan, noting Airi's parents didn't file an application for mental illness handbooks and other services that could've helped their daughter, possibly out of shame.

Dad Catches Son Having Sex With Teacher In Back Seat Of Car

Dad Catches Son Having Sex With Teacher In Back Seat Of Car

So I don’t think this was the type of “extra credit” the dad had in mind.

Even though we are in the middle of the holiday season, and even though we are on a tiny break, it doesn’t mean that we can’t take the time to tell you all about another teacher that decided to shack up with a student. This time around it’s all about Texas teacher Rachel Gonzales.

The 44-year-old was busted having sex with a 13-year-old student after the student’s dad actually caught them having sex in the back seat of a car at a parking lot. The dad of course reached out to police after catching the pair in the act, and investigators soon found evidence on the victim’s phone that Gonzales and the student had had an ongoing relationship.

Bay City Texas Police soon arrested the teacher on charges of online solicitation of a minor and improper relationship between an educator and student.

Gonzales has been released from jail but I’m going to assume she will be out of a job. But hey, she can always just move to Florida — they take everyone.

Barber Arrested After Giving Dude Awful ‘Three Stooges’ Haircut

Barber Arrested After Giving Dude Awful ‘Three Stooges’ Haircut

When I was in middle school my mom decided to take me to a hairstylist who had a very heavy Russian accent. I of course had no problem with this. My only problem was that she thought I had just enlisted into the Russian army because that’s the exact type of haircut she gave me. I cried when I got home as I prepared to be even more unpopular at school. And the reason I’ve confessed that humiliating story is because one barber recently got thrown behind bars for doing a shitty haircut.

46-year-old hairstylist, Khaled A. Shabani was arrested after he gave a 22-year-old a terrible haircut. According to police spokesman Joel DeSpain, the victim told officers that Shabani asked him to stop moving his head during the haircut. Shabani then proceeded to cut the victim’s ear with the clippers before running them down the middle of the man’s head on their shortest attachment, “leaving him looking a bit like Larry from ‘The Three Stooges.’”

Oh boy. I just hope this dude wasn’t getting a haircut before a big first date.

Shabani was handcuffed, but he has now pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct. Shabani also told officers that it was an accident. Yeah, that is no accident. No word yet on what the victim’s hair looks like now, but here’s hoping he just shaved it all off and has started from scratch.

10 Horrific Acts That Are Legal In Some Countries

10 Horrific Acts That Are Legal In Some Countries -

It’s no secret that the world isn’t always a nice place, but most of us are probably unaware of full extent of some of the dreadful acts practiced today. If cannibalism, necrophilia, bestiality, incest, mutilation, rape, castration, public flogging, stoning, and slavery continue to occur in our day, surely, we’d think, they must be the criminal acts of disturbed individuals.

In reality, each of these horrific acts is legal, even now, in various parts of the world. And we’re not talking about obscure, war-torn corners of the map, either. You might be surprised by what people can get away with in some countries.

10 Cannibalism

Cannibalism is technically legal throughout the United States and several other countries, including Germany and the United Kingdom. However, to indulge one’s appetite for human flesh, a cannibal would first have to find a corpse for his meal, since murder is illegal.

In 2001, Armin Meiwes of Germany solicited a voluntary victim through a fetish website devoted to cannibalism. After they met, Meiwes killed the man and butchered and froze his meat to consume later. Arrested, Meiwes was found guilty of murder.

In another cannibalism case, Jose Salvador Alvarenga, 36, who’d been cast adrift in a storm with his fellow sailor Ezequiel Cordoba, survived at sea for over a year. Cordoba, 22, was not as fortunate. Unable to subsist on the raw birds and turtle blood that made up the men’s daily meals, Cordoba died, whereupon he became Alvarenga’s next meal. Cordoba’s family sued Alvarenga for $1 million “for eating their relative.”[1]

9 Necrophilia

Committing sex acts on the dead, or necrophilia, is likely to strike most people as horrific, but in some US states, it’s not illegal. As late as 2015, “adultery, sodomy, blasphemy, and the act of displaying an albino in public for hire” were illegal in Massachusetts. Necrophilia isn’t.

Representative Aaron Vega, 45, hopes to change that. He’s cosponsored a bill outlawing sex with the dead. His proposed legislation may have been inspired by a case in which three male grave robbers were arrested for unearthing a female corpse. Their motive, they admitted to police, was to have sex with the woman’s dead body.[2]

8 Bestiality

Within the last six years, Denmark, Sweden, and a few US states have outlawed bestiality, or sex between people and animals. In some other countries, the act remains legal. In Germany, “erotic zoos” cater to the bizarre fetish, although intimate relations between humans and animals aren’t restricted to these “bestiality brothels.” A farmer became suspicious when his sheep avoided human contact, so he installed cameras. Men were photographed trespassing on his property to have sex with his flock.

The practice is also legal in Hungary, Finland, Mexico, and the states of Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming. In Alabama, 2014 legislation would have outlawed the act, but the governor vetoed it.[3]

7 Incest

Although sex between consenting siblings has been outlawed in most countries, it has been decriminalized in France, Spain, and Portugal. The laws in these nations forbid the prosecution of parents, grandparents, and siblings, provided they’re of legal age and consented to the act.

Decriminalization of incest has also been considered in Romania.[4] “Not everything that is immoral has to be illegal,” said Valerian Cioclei, a legal expert at Romania’s Justice Ministry. In the US, incest is against the law in all 50 states and Washington, DC, but some states do not penalize the crime.

6 Female Genital Mutilation

Female genital mutilation (FGM), defined as the partial or complete injury or removal of external female genitalia, is performed on many girls between the ages of four and 14. Not only is the procedure without medical benefit, but it can also cause a multitude of serious chronic complications.

Although FGM is illegal in Australia, Canada, the US, nine European nations, and 18 African countries, it’s widely practiced in 28 African nations and a few Asian countries. As many as 140 million women are estimated to have undergone FGM, and three million more girls and women are subjected to the procedure each year.[5]

The most common form of FGM, the removal of the clitoris, often without anesthesia, is performed “in a broad area from the Red Sea to the Atlantic Coast.” Infibulation entails the clitoris and external genitalia being removed, and “the bleeding raw edges of the large lips are held together by thorns or other fastening devices” to allow developing scar tissue to seal the vaginal entrance. This terrible procedure is most often performed in Sudan, Somalia, Northern Kenya, parts of Ethiopia, up and down the Red Sea Coasts, parts of Mali, and surrounding areas.

5 Rape

In India, a husband is allowed to rape his wife. A Delhi judge ruled that laws against forced sex don’t apply in marriage. The case the judge decided involved a 21-year-old woman who claimed she’d signed marriage documents after she’d been drugged. Then, while she was intoxicated, she was forced to have sex with her “husband.” Her account was found to be inconsistent, and there was “a lack of evidence,” but the judge ruled that, despite the use of force involved, the sex did not constitute rape, and her “husband” was not culpable of any crime.[6]

Marital rape is also legal in Afghanistan, China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and elsewhere. In 2016, Indian legislation proposed to specify that “marriage should not be considered as an irrevocable consent to sexual acts,” but the change to the nation’s sexual assault laws was rejected.

4 Castration

In some situations, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Montana, Oregon, Texas, and Wisconsin allow the punishment of sex offenders by means of chemical or surgical castration. In chemical castration, the offenders receive an artificial female hormone that reduces testosterone to “pre-puberty” levels. In California, such treatment is required for repeat offenders, and in Louisiana, it’s a condition for a reduced or suspended sentence. In California, Georgia, Louisiana, Montana, and Wisconsin, castration laws apply only in the case of sex offenses against minors.

In Texas, repeat offenders may opt for surgical castration, and in California and Louisiana, offenders may elect to undergo surgical castration rather than chemical treatment.[7]

As of 2013, Estonia, Moldova, Poland, Russia, and South Korea were among countries that allow chemical or surgical castration of sex offenders.

3 Judicial Corporal Punishment

Judicial corporal punishment is ordered by a court of law and is administered in public using canes, cat-o’-nine tails, straps, tamarind rods, or whips. Strokes of these instruments are generally delivered to the bare back or buttocks. Typically, the punishment is severe, often causing deep bruising of the flesh and multiple lacerations of muscles that take days, weeks, or months to heal.

Judicial corporal punishment is legal in the Bahamas, Botswana, Brunei, Dominica, some communities in Ecuador, Guyana, the Aceh province of Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Qatar, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.[8]

A famous case of judicial punishment involving an American citizen occurred when Michael P. Fay, then 19, was caned in Singapore for vandalism. According to Fay, who received four strokes of a 1.3-centimeter-thick (0.5 in) rattan cane on May 5, 1994, the instrument “left three dark-brown scars on his right buttock and four lines each about half-an-inch wide on his left buttock.” Fay said prison officials heard him cry, “I’m dying!” after the first blow, although he didn’t recall making such a statement. Originally, Fay was sentenced to four months in jail and six strokes of the cane, but the number of lashes was reduced by two. Fay said his punishment lasted about a minute, after which he was able to walk. He couldn’t sit down comfortably for a couple of days, he said, and his wounds hurt for five days, after which they began to heal.

2 Lapidation

The Islamic penal code prescribes the manner of execution by stoning, or lapidation. Men are buried in sand up to their waists, women up to just above their breasts. A group of executioners then slays the victim with rocks and stones. Those among the condemned who escape from the holes in which they’re buried can be set free, but it’s much more difficult for women to accomplish such a feat because they’re buried more deeply than men. To ensure the execution is neither too short nor too long, the law also specifies the size of the stones to be used.

Today, stoning as a means of judicial punishment continues in Iran, parts of Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates.[9]

1 Slavery

Despite the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution, which abolished slavery in the nation, it still exists in the United States, thanks to the amendment’s so-called punishment clause. Based on the Northwest Ordinance of 1787, the clause allows anyone who’s been “duly convicted” of a crime to be subjected to forced servitude as a “slave of the state.” The exception to slavery’s abolition reflects the belief that hard work is essential to moral rehabilitation. A year after the Civil War, the punishment clause was used as a justification for selling a black man into slavery after he’d been found guilty of theft in Maryland. Vagrancy could result in the same “punishment.”

Even today, slavery remains legal in the US, “so long as it is pursuant to a criminal conviction and if it is limited to compulsory uncompensated labor.” When states realized the potential the punishment clause had to turn their prison systemsinto moneymaking enterprises using compulsory labor to manufacture “prison products,” many of them began to apply the punishment clause. Despite tests in the courts, the clause has been upheld as constitutional, and at least 37 states have made it legal for corporations to contract prison labor inside state prisons.[10]

Bodycam Footage Shows Suspect Assaulting Officer During Traffic Stop

A 39 year old man believed to be Ashley Dodd allegedly assaulted the police officer on Sunday after the Toyota Camry he was riding in was stopped in the Glass House Mountains about 4.45pm. Police asked the man to get out of the car so they could search him. Drugs, including Oxycodene, were found on him. The man then attempted to flee into shrubbery but the video shows the police officer grabbing his shirt to stop him. Mr Dodd then turned and allegedly punched the police officer in the head and repeatedly hit him after he was knocked to the ground. Mr Dodd then yelled at the driver of the Camry to get out of the car with another nine-year-old passenger. He sped off in the car as the footage showed the police officer attempting to chase after him on foot. The 49 year old sergeant was taking to the hospital and treated for facial and head injuries.

U.S. Postal Service Arrest Fake Postal Worker Who Targeted Scottsdale Homes

The U.S. Postal service confirms a woman who posed as a postal worker and was caught stealing packages has been arrested.

Officials say the suspect, who has not been identified, was taken into custody Wednesday night.

Surveillance video of the woman was recorded last week at a home near Hayden Road and Loop 101 in north Scottsdale.

It shows the suspect, wearing a USPS mail carrier shirt, walking up to the door carrying a box the homeowner said was empty. She dropped off the box and left with two packages belonging to the homeowner.

ABC15 reached out to the Postal Service for comment and learned the woman was not a real mail carrier. A U.S. postal inspector told ABC15 that simply wearing the postal shirt will exponentially add to her crime spree.

"I do believe this is someone impersonating a postal employee, which itself is a federal offense, in addition to the mail theft," said Postal Inspector Liz Davis. "We have not seen a lot of this in recent years. It's the first time I've even seen it this year at all."

Man Shoots Random Woman Walking Her Dog To Show His Girlfriend How 'Crazy' He Can Get

Man Shoots Random Woman Walking Her Dog To Show His Girlfriend How 'Crazy' He Can Get

Glen Alveris wanted to show his girlfriend how "crazy" he could get when he was upset, so he randomly picked out a woman walking her dog in Bywater earlier this month and shot her in the leg, New Orleans police allege.

Alveris got away with that crime until he got into another fight with his girlfriend four days later, which ended in her stabbing him several times with a kitchen knife, authorities said.

While being questioned by police about the stabbing, the girlfriend reported that in an effort to threaten her, Alveris had randomly fired at a bystander the night of Dec. 10 near North Rampart and Montegut streets.

"He is a severe danger to the community," Assistant District Attorney Michael Henn said at an initial hearing in Orleans Criminal District Court Tuesday. Alveris sat nearby in a wheelchair.

According to court records released Tuesday, a 54-year-old woman and her male companion were walking their dogs in the 3000 block of North Rampart when they heard what sounded like backfire coming from a brown-colored car driving up the street.

The woman realized the noise was gunshots when she felt something strike her left leg. After realizing she had been struck, she went to her nearby home and called police.

Detectives apparently got a break in the case Dec. 14, when a 20-year-old woman called police to report that she had used a kitchen knife to stab her boyfriend during a fight in the 1000 block of Caffin Avenue in the Lower 9th Ward, court records said.

While she was receiving treatment for her injuries at New Orleans East Hospital, the woman told a detective that four nights earlier she and Alveris had been drinking and smoking marijuana at a party on Caffin when they took a ride and began arguing over how she had danced with another man.

During the ride, Alveris pulled out a pistol and told his girlfriend he would kill her. According to the woman, he then said, "I'm going to show you how crazy I am," and shot once at a stranger walking her dog.

The girlfriend described seeing the victim reaching for her lower leg as Alveris said, "I will shoot anybody that plays with me." The couple then returned to the party, police said.

The NOPD has obtained video of the shooting.

Police booked Alveris on Friday on second-degree battery and domestic abuse battery in connection with the fight with his girlfriend. Then, on Tuesday, they also booked him on aggravated battery in connection with the shooting.

Criminal District Court Magistrate Judge Harry Cantrell on Tuesday ordered Alveris held without bond at least until a hearing scheduled for Dec. 27. That move came at the request of Henn, who noted that Alveris was out on a $10,000 bond the night of the shooting after being arrested in September on two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

His prior convictions also include criminal damage to property and simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.

In Louisiana, aggravated battery can carry up to 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $5,000.

Attempts to contact the Dec. 10 shooting victim weren't immediately successful.

10 Murders With Utterly Stupid Motives

10 Murders With Utterly Stupid Motives

There is no crime as foul as murder. Murders are mostly driven by complex personal or professional motives. The killer takes such as extreme action only when he/she believes that they can justify the action to themselves. But there are some people who have murdered for small petty reasons that are insanely unbelievable. From killing for not getting thanks for making dinner to fighting over a pack of Cheetos, we bring you 10 such murders with utterly stupid motives.

1. Fergus Glen, a 36-year-old man from Wainuiomata, New Zealand, hacked his brother to death with an ax in 2003 because he was enraged that his brother did not have the decency to thank him for making dinner.

Fergus Glen was an unemployed man who lived with his parents. In March 2003, his 33-year-old brother Craig came to stay at the house with Fergus and his parents. Apparently, Craig was a married man with three children but had recently separated from his wife.

The brothers had been constantly fighting for the past couple of months prior to the murder. There had been occasions where they have had physical fights. But according to the reports, the evening before the murder was quite a happy one with Fergus cooking dinner for his family. The only tiny mistake that Craig made was not to thank Fergus for the dinner that he prepared.

Fergus later confessed to the police that he stayed up after everyone had retired for the night and drank whiskey. Then dark thoughts enveloped his mind so he picked up the ax and brought it down eight times on his sleeping brother.

“He just annoyed me and I did it. I’m not proud, but I did it,” Fergus reported to the authorities. Fergus was sentenced to life imprisonment. After serving ten years of his sentence in jail, he became eligible for parole, but it was denied because it was determined that his reasons for murder were inexplicable.(source)

2. Franklin Paul Crow, a 59-year-old man from Florida, brutally bludgeoned his roommate to death with a sledgehammer in 2006 after an argument over toilet paper.

Franklin Paul Crow pleaded guilty to the murder of his roommate, 58-year-old Kenneth Matthews. According to homicide reports, Crow brutally attacked his roommate hitting him eight times with the handle of the sledgehammer and also twice with the claw end of a hammer. The victim’s body was discovered by their landlord.

The victim, Kenneth, was a Vietnam War veteran and he liked to fish, hunt, and ride his bike. He met Crow at a bikers bar, Ma Barkers Hideaway, and took him in as a roommate. According to the victim’s sister, he even provided for Crow and brought him along to Thanksgiving dinner with his family. But after around a year later, Crow brutally murdered his roommate. Apparently, they had been fighting over the absence of toilet paper in the bathroom when Matthews pulled out his rifle and Crow attacked him.

The victim was left with a fractured skull, broken fingers, and fatal wounds to his head and face. His body was unrecognizable, and he could only be identified from his fingerprints that were on record. In a letter to a judge from jail, Crow stated, “I have accepted the fact I’ll never see my people again, or go fishing, or ride my motorcycle anymore.” He further added, “It is hard for me to stand down, but if I am in the wrong which I know I am, I am ready to except [sic] and deal with the circumstances.” Crow is serving  22.5 years in prison.(source)

3. Alexandra Tobias, a 22-year-old mom from Jacksonville, Florida, was so obsessed with the Facebook game Farmville that when her 3-month-old baby started crying during a game, she violently shook the baby to death for breaking her concentration.

Alexandra Tobias was a 22-year-old mom with 3-month-old baby son. One fine day in January 2010, she was playing the farming simulation Facebook game Farmville when her baby, Dylan Lee Edmondson, began to cry. She got so angry at the baby for disturbing her in the middle of the game that she shook him violently. She then stopped to smoke a cigarette to compose herself and then continued shaking the baby. When the baby stopped breathing, she called 911 frantically saying that, “He’s only 14 weeks old; he’s not breathing.”

When the investigators arrived, she told them that a dog knocked her kid off a couch. He then hit his head and stopped breathing. But later she admitted to violently shaking the baby that led to his death.

Tobias’s friends and family described her as a fun-loving person. But she had her share of tough days that life had handed her. She found her mother dead in 2008 and has also confided with a psychiatrist that she was raped at a younger age. Moreover, her relationship with the father was intense. and they were both arrested for domestic violence just a few weeks prior to the murder of the baby.

She was sentenced to 50 years in prison in 2011.(source)

4. Shaakira Dorsey, a 16-year-old teen, was brutally beaten to death by her classmate when she allegedly made fun of her classmate’s fart in front of a group of girls.

In 2012, a 16-year old teen from Ohio was killed by her fellow classmate who became furious over getting teased by the victim. Witnesses say that Shaakira Dorsey, the victim, was heard making fun of her classmate in front of a group of girls for farting. Infuriated at being teased, the classmate started beating Shaakira. She was so brutally beaten that Shaakira collapsed unconscious after the fight was broken up by her stepdad.

Authorities arrived on the scene after receiving two separate 911 calls. An ambulance team was treating Shaakira when the police arrived, but she breathed her last soon after that. Her classmate has been charged with murder, but her name has not been released by the authorities.(source)

5. Brenda Spencer, a 16-year-old girl from Cleveland, shot and killed two adults and injured many children at an elementary school when she open fired at them from her home because she just hated Mondays and wanted to simply liven up the day.

Image source: Wikipedia, Brenda Spencer’s home from Wikipedia

This incident occurred at the Grover Cleveland Elementary School on 29 January 1979. Sixteen-year-old Brenda lived in the house just opposite to the school. Her parents were separated and she lived with her father in poverty. On the morning of January 29, 1979, Brenda just started shooting from her home at the children who were waiting outside the school. When the school principal, Burton Wragg, heard the shots, he came outside to help the children and was eventually shot in the effort. A custodian, Mike Suchar, was also shot and killed while trying to protect the children. A police officer who responded to the call was also injured. Apart from this, eight of the children were injured.

After the shooting, Brenda barricaded herself in her home. When a reporter from the San Diego Union-Tribune contacted her over the phone and asked her to state the reason for her malicious actions, Brenda said, “I don’t like Mondays. This livens up the day.” The gun she used for the shooting was a semi-automatic .22-caliber rifle which her father gave to her as a Christmas present.

Brenda was tried as an adult and pleaded guilty to the two murders and for assault with a deadly weapon. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison and, as of 2017, she is still in prison.

Bob Geldof was inspired by this incident to write the song “I Don’t Like Mondays” for his band, the Boomtown Rats.(source)

6. Dana Sue Gray is a serial killer in America who assaulted and murdered three elderly ladies and injured one in 1994 in order to support her hefty expense habits and addiction to shopping.

Image source: NY Daily News Pixabay

Being a shopaholic can be deadly, and this what Dana Sue Gray proved to the world. In 1994, Dana murdered three elderly ladies and took their credit cards with her after murdering them. After each murder, she used to go on a massive shopping spree with the credit cards stolen from the victims. Because of lack of evidence, Gray was never suspected of the murders. It was only when her third victim, Dorinda Hawkins, survived her assault and provided a detailed description of her attacker to the authorities.

Gray was finally caught when the credit card company called up the second victim’s family to let them know of the insane spendings happening on her card. The police went and interviewed all the merchants from where Gray shopped. They obtained a complete description of the culprit, put two and two together, and followed her to catch her in the act. Gray was seen going shopping with the credit card of her fourth victim, whom she had just murdered.

Gray initially pleaded insanity for all her wrongdoings. But when a neighbor was able to place Gray at her fourth victim’s house just before the murder, Gray changed her plea and pledged guilty. In 1998, she was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole and currently resides in the California Women’s Prison in Chowchilla.(source)

7. Candace Brito and Vanesa Zavala repeatedly kicked an innocent woman in the head that led to her death outside a nightclub located in Santa Ana because both the women were too proud to walk away from the fight.

Image source: Daily News, Photo taken by Mark Boster – Daily News

Pride is a dangerous thing. Pride makes you do things that normally you would have walked away from, like a brawl. Candace Brito and Vanesa Zavala were also too proud to walk away from a fight. And somehow, the fight transpired to be the murder of an innocent woman, Annie Kim Pham.

The incident took place outside a Santa Ana nightclub. The case progressed with only accounts from eyewitnesses and cellphone videos that were made by bystanders. Witnesses said that both the women took turns to kick the victim on the head while she was wrestling another person. The prosecutors were unable to pinpoint the decisive moment that must have led the two accused to brutally hit the victim. Authorities also rejected claims that the fight was racially motivated or instigated when the victim accidentally photobombed a photo of the accused women.

Both the women received six years in prison.(source)

8. Curtis Reeves, a 71-year-old retired police officer, shot and killed a man at a movie theatre following an argument over the victim sending texts from his mobile phone during the movie.

In January 2014, Curtis Reeves, who was an ex-police captain (retired) from Tampa, Florida, shot Chad Oulson, 43, inside a movie theatre. Apparently, the men engaged in a verbal argument over Chad texting from his phone during the movie. As per police reports, Chad threw his packet of popcorn at Curtis’s face. Enraged by this, Curtis took out his handgun and shot Chad at his chest killing him on the spot. Apparently, the victim was texting his daughter.

During his trial for second-degree murder, Curtis Reeves tried to use to Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law to justify his shooting of the victim. “Stand Your Ground” is a law that was constructed for Florida residents. As per this law, a person has the right to use deadly force in case they fear that a threatening person has the potential to cause them physical harm or death. Curtis Reeves pointed to the popcorn-throwing activity by the victim to justify his actions under the “Stand Your Ground” defense. But based on eyewitness statements, the court ruled against the defendant’s claim that it was an act of self-defense.

The defendant then appealed against this ruling, and as of December 11, 2017, the appeals court found some merit in his “Stand Your Ground” defense. The case is on hold as of now until the appeals court rules.(source)

David L. Scott, a 49-year-old man, was convicted of the murder of Roger Wilkes, a 42-year-old. Multiple witnesses reported that the two men were apparently fighting over a bag of Cheetos that Roger Wilkes had. When Wilkes refused to hand over the bag of chips, David took out a knife and stabbed him in the chest. The bike patrol police were notified by witnesses and were given the description of David. The police arrested him a few blocks away from the crime scene. They also recovered the murder weapon, the knife, which was in David’s possession when he was arrested.

Initially, both the men were presumed to be homeless. But later, the police were able to locate the residences of both the victim and the culprit. Upon David’s arrest, it was also found that he had a long charge sheet with previous convictions for robbery and assault. Wilkes was immediately taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. David was charged with second-degree murder.(source)

10. A South African man was beaten to death by his family, that includes his wife and two kids, for wanting to watch the FIFA World Cup instead of a religious show in 2010.

All 61-year-old David Makoeya wanted to do was to watch the FIFA World Cup in peace. But his family, that consisted of his wife, his daughter, and his son, were adamant about watching a religious show. They refused to change the channel and David ended up battling them for the remote for the TV. When he failed to grab the remote, he manually tried to change the channel using the buttons on the  TV.

This is when all hell broke loose. His family got enraged by his actions and started beating him. Authorities later reported that they banged David’s head repeatedly against the wall which led to severe head injuries. Later, the court released reports which showed that the victim was stabbed in the back too. They called the police only after he was severely injured. David was already dead when police arrived at his house.(source)

Florida Woman Rubbed One Out On Her Arresting Officer

Florida Woman Rubbed One Out On Her Arresting Officer

It looks like we might have a love connection here. You may be familiar with Florida Man, whose antics have including throwing an alligator through a drive-thru window, giving a press conference in sign language about pizza bears and trying to buy a car with food stamps, which would possibly only work if you were Tenzil Kem from The Legion Of Super-Heroes. Well, Florida Man, I’d like to introduce you to Florida Woman, so you can have some Florida babies.

Florida Woman, aka Nicole Shankster, got drunk at a bus stop, caused a disturbance, and then rubbed herself off on the arresting officer’s arm. Yeah, you read that right. Here’s what the officer said in her report, which was released by The Smoking Gun.

The defendant did intentionally sexually satisfy herself on my left arm and lick my right arm while I was restraining her from masturbating while in police custody.

Wow. Honestly, this isn’t that funny, a police officer was sexually assaulted by a drunk. You wouldn’t want some weird drunk woman rubbing her snatch against your arm and licking you, would you? Maybe you would, I don’t know how you live your life. But I do know that is not what N.W.A. meant by “Fuck the Police.”

Personally, I think you should just stay the fuck away from Florida altogether. I mean, what’s the appeal? The swamps? The 200% humidity? The Disney park that isn’t as good as the one in California? George Zimmerman? Everything in Florida is terrible.

There’s really only way to solve our Florida problem.

T.J. Miller Allegedly Beat Up College Girlfriend During Sex

T.J. Miller Allegedly Beat Up College Girlfriend During Sex

Every morning I wake up wondering which celebrity’s sexual misconduct I’ll be writing about. Today’s sweepstakes winner is former Silicon Valley star and current Yelp reviewer T.J. Miller, who is accused of going all Jian Ghomeshi on a college girlfriend. The woman, who The Daily Beast called Sarah, alleges that during a consensual sexual encounter, Miller hit and choked her, things that she did not consent to.

“We started to fool around, and very early in that, he put his hands around my throat and closed them, and I couldn’t breathe,” she recalled. “I was genuinely terrified and completely surprised. I understand now that this is for some people a kink, and I continue to believe it is [something] that should be entered into by consenting parties. But, as someone who had only begun having sexual encounters, like, about three months earlier, I had no awareness this was a kink, and I had certainly not entered into any agreement that I would be choked.”

T.J. Miller and his wife made a statement to The Daily Beast denying the allegations.

Sarah “began again to circulate rumors online once [my and Kate’s] relationship became public. Sadly she is now using the current climate to bandwagon and launch these false accusations again,” the Millers wrote. “It is unfortunate that she is choosing this route as it undermines the important movement to make women feel safe coming forward about legitimate claims against real known predators.”

This is a little different from the other allegations of sexual misconduct flying around, so let’s talk about why. As the woman mentioned, it is a thing people do. It’s not really my cup of tea, but I have known more than one woman who did enjoy this sort of physicality during sex.

But when you want to do something extreme like this during sex, you should probably bring it up beforehand. And you know, if someone isn’t into the thing you want to do, don’t do it. There are plenty of people who are. Find one of them and do whatever the hell the two of you want, you’re both adults. Don’t force anyone to do anything they don’t want, and if you do something and your partner asks you to stop, then stop. Pretty simple.

I guess the big question is “Did T.J. Miller do this?” I don’t know. It doesn’t seem entirely out of character for someone who assaults a cab driver for liking a politician he doesn’t like. This doesn’t seem like the sort of thing that only happens once, though. If the alleged incidents went down as described, we’ll probably hear more allegations from more women about Miller soon.

Oregon Man Stabs Guy Because 'Taylor Swift Told Him To Do It'

Oregon Man Stabs Guy Because 'Taylor Swift Told Him To Do It'

Oh, Taylor, what have you done?

I bet you Taylor Swift fans don’t know that she makes people stab others, right? Well, this is what 43-year-old Brent Thicksten claimed after he was arrested for stabbing someone. It all kicked off when Thicksten began “acting weird” and harassing and menacing people on the street. And it turned bloody when Thicksten spotted his victim, Andrew Rice.

Thicksten chased Rice with “what appeared to be a knife,” and then swung at him, leaving a small laceration on his back. And here’s where it gets strange: After caught, Thicksten then told police that he stabbed Rice because “my wife told me to kill him.” And who is his wife? Taylor Swift.

Thicksten was asked by police where “his wife is,” and Thicksten simply responded with this: “We are one.” Oh boy…

Thicksten then refused to answer any more questions, telling cops he had “a top secret clearance.” He was then charged with an assortment of felonies and misdemeanors. No word yet how his wife feels about all this.

In China, 10 Publicly Sentenced to Die, Then Immediately Killed

In China, 10 Publicly Sentenced to Die, Then Immediately Killed

Thousands in China turned out for the event, which had been publicized on social media four days prior. As people talked and smoked in the stadium in Lufeng in southern Guangdong province, the Guardian reports that 10 people were sentenced to death and then whisked away to be immediately executed. Seven had committed drug-related crimes; the rest had convictions related to murder and robbery. They were among a dozen people who were transported to the stadium in police vans whose sirens were activated, reports the South China Morning Post. The fates of two of the 12 were not given.

It wasn't the first open-air sentencing hearing in Lufeng in recent days. The Morning Postreports five people were sentenced and immediately executed in 2015, and another wave of executions occurred after a public sentencing in June. The Guardian notes that while China is secretive about its execution tally, it is believed to put more people to death than the other 22 countries known to currently execute people combined, with 2016 seeing an estimated 2,000 executions in China. Amnesty International reports the US put 20 people to death in 2016, the lowest number since 1991.
